Avoid this company at all costs. I purchased the five in one multi tool hedge trimmer from them. Within the first 12 months of use having been used less than five times it has numerous faults including a fuel leak and a pull cord snapping. The product itself is generally very poor quality and the warranty advertised is extremely misleading. The company expect you to pay to return it for an assessment and won’t guarantee it to be repaired under warranty. I was also on the phone to them trying to resolve it and they hung up on me. Extremely unhelpful and would avoid at all costs.

I purchased a set of NitroLift replacement gas struts for an Audi A4 Avant from SGS. Order Ref: 100991706 - NitroLift Audi A4 Avant 2001-2007 Tailgate / Boot Gas Strut, placed on 11th October 2022. Seven months later these have started to corrode and rust, aren't working properly and are 'squeaking'. I emailed the company requesting that these be replaced under warranty the response I received was: "As you live by the sea, the struts are exposed to sea air, which does contain more moisture and salt which does accelerate rusting. We are happy to have your struts returned back to us for inspection under your warranty. Please can you securely repackage the item back in the original packaging or any suitable packaging you have, tape the below returns note to the outside of the parcel and send it back to us? Most of our customers do this via parcel 2 go or parcel hero as they are the most competitive in pricing. We will let you know as soon as we have received this & it has been inspected, if there is a manufacturing fault we will repair or replace it under the warranty. However, I do have to advise that if there isn't a manufacturing fault you would be liable for costs (please do not be alarmed I just have to advise you of this)." What an absolute joke, are their products designed only to function in a clean room environment rather than when fitted to an actual vehicle that is in use? How do I safely get my dog in and out of the car if I remove the struts and return them before getting the replacements? Also, if SGS *decide* that there's no manufacturing fault they have the audacity to say I will incur costs. There's clearly a fault, you can see in the photo I provided them with!

Hi Abbie, Just to say thank you so much for sorting this issue out for me, I am very grateful, the correct struts arrived here this morning. Sometimes things do go wrong, but how and who resolves it makes the difference between a poor experience and a really excellent experience, just as I have received form your good self, it makes such a difference. Bought a Gas strut on 27/02/23 they dispatched it with DHL who failed to deliver it three times so I cancelled the order. Wouldn’t give me a refund until they received the item back from DHL (even though they were at fault in the first place )who kept failing to deliver it back to SGS after I had cancelled the order. The customer service team are rude and unhelpful and stick to a script they had been given in the end I contacted Barclaycard who then got my money back from them after I complained to Barclaycard. I will never buy anything from them again and would not recommend them to anyone.

I Ordered a Milwakee Drill and some Deep Sockets, the delivery was chosen for next day. No Email for delivery trackng or any correspondence from them until after 2 days i contacted them. I am still awating my items 6 days after purchase. The customer service are not veru helpful as when i called them all i was told was the items were in dispatch.

Offers next day delivery...that would involve them actually posting it!...rude and unhelpful emails from Sally. Told to wait until tracking info is uploaded rather than them calling the packing team and asking why it hasnt been posted! Due to recieve monday or tuesday which is nearly a week from purchase...oh and the xmas sale price advertised on ebay is the same price items have been for months. Impressive image guys, well done 👏 Please dont blame DPD for SGS incompetence...you choose to ship with them, thats not a customer problem that seems to happen regularly when reading other reviews

Ordered tool chest from eBay. Order Status stated dispatched 8/12/22 by 24 hour courier. When not arrived by 14/12/22 contacted company twice without response. Finally opened dispute with eBay. Immediately got a response from company saying they had issues with couriers/drivers/supply etc. If they had bothered to advise me of these difficulties I could of decided whether to cancel order and buy elsewhere, but they didn't and clearly weren't planning on doing so. Now I have to try and source a similar item that will be delivered in time for Christmas, which is very unlikely, this late in the day. Very poor customer service. Can't go about ordering anything else until I get my money back from them, which is unlikely to be anytime soon. Would not recommend them and will take our business to more reputable company.

Ordered a 50l compressor on Friday which arrived on Tuesday. Unfortunately on opening the packaging, there was some damage. After a conversation with the customer services team SGS arranged to collect and replace on the same date which was most convenient to us. Problems will always arise, but how a company manages these is a measure of quality. Very happy and would use SGS again.

SGS were the only company who were interested in researching which tailgate struts fitted my Mitsubishi L200. I spoke with Harry who went above & beyond & took the time to identify the correct items. They arrived via courier 2 days later. I am really happy that I found them. I thoughly recommend them for anyone requiring vehicle tailgate & bonnet struts. Thanks again Harry. :)

If you buy Milwaukee products from SGS, once you’ve parted with your money, they’ll be of no help whatsoever. Disappointed.

Without doubt the worst company I have ever done business with. Absolutely terrible customer service. Expensive product broke well within warranty. They confirmed it was a warranty issue and agreed to arrange repair but they have ignored my calls and emails etc and the item has been un usable for 11 months! I have sent around 20 emails and 50 odd phone calls over that time with literally days wasted on hold but I have never received a return call or any advice on how they plan to fix the warranty issue. I have now had to involve trading standards. Avoid at all costs

Please don't buy from them! There is no chance to get a refund if you don't like the product you ordered. In order for that to happened, you have to just unbox it, have a look at it and don't use it! Send it back and maybe, but just maybe in that way you will get your money back. I had sent back the 6 litre oil less spray after use it once, cleaned that, got the email from them saying that there are no faults found with it, it's just my fault that i don't like it and that they can't give me a refund because it was used, even their policy states that you can return unwanted goods. Advised me to sell it on ebay and hang up the phone in my face! Terrible company!

Absolutely scammers , waited more than 2 months for delivery, then was pushed from pillar to post when I called from tracking information, done a charge back via credit card , they challenged this and provided a false POD , I didn’t receive this delivery some £290 … avoid at all cost unless you want to loose your money

I recently purchased the SGS Professional Mechanics Swivel Bar Stool, because I'm disabled and cannot stand for long periods at home. This stool is excellent for my needs. It was easy to assemble and is very comfortable to sit on. The price was better than other stools I'd seen and was delivered within 24hrs of my initial purchase. All in all an excellent buy.

Don’t buy from these frauds. They are scammer. Sold faluty item and never came to collect nor did they refund. Everyday same lies that someone will come and collect back but no one comes to pick. They think people are free to sit and wait for them. These people are full of rubbish. Useless company and their products and useless customer services. Beware of these frauds

I received my compressor and spray kit from sgs engineering very high quality gear delivery was fast the customer care response and staff was so accommodating and friendly I highly recommend anyone to go browse through there products I’ll assure you u won’t be disappointed

Recently bought a Nissan Elgrand, the tailgate was too low and banging my head was getting repetetive. Looked at the Elgrand owners club and was referred to SGS for replacement struts. Ordered on aBank Holiday Monday, received on the Wednesday and self fitted on the Thursday. Brilliant service and great struts - I no longer bang my head :) Fully recommended - I wish that I had heard of them to use on previous vehicles.
