“The packaging and presentation was what I was testing as a potential investor. I was very underwhelmed. I only purchased an undershirt and it seemed fine. Functional, not premium. The whole experience was far less luxurious than the website’s slick aesthetic and product pricing had suggested.”

Thank you for your feedback and it is understandable why you would be underwhelmed. It looks from your picture like our original packaging has been damaged in transit and has been replaced by DHL packaging at some point on its journey to you in Australia. Please be assured that we take the utmost care in the packing and presentation of every order but unfortunately on this occasion it looks like our shipping partner has been less than careful. “Absolutely love the quality and comfort of the sweater I bought. I wear it every other day and it is perfect by itself without a jacket on some days in the cold Canadian winter. I also love the connection to the story of Shackleton. I'm looking forward to getting more pieces and am seriously looking at the expeditions offered.”

“Probably the best winter coat I own ...and I own quite a few ! much better, in my opinion, than well known competitor at similar price point. The Endurance is very light, very warm very well made , great fabric, and 800 power fill I think (or 850 ?) which is exceptional. Worn at temperatures around -4/5 and exceptionally warm and comfortable. Its my go to coat - very comfortable to wear in the car as well since its soft . Improvements - outside chest pocket left hand size , zipped for small items such as credit cards would be good so the coat doesn't have to be opened fully to get into the inside chest zipped pocket. Zippers get caught a little similar to CG - not sure what the solution is ? I have removed the faux fur since in my opinion either have real fur (similar to CG / Mocler) or dont have any. I dont have any. lastly beware of size , the Endurance is oversized to allow for layers. I am normally an M and I went down to S (I only wear a thin shirt / jumper with the coat) but even with an S there is room for a thicker jumper. Overall great (and I should have added very fashionable ) technical coat that can be worn in Reykjavik or Rome , yes worn in Rome in December since although temp about 5/8, the coat is light weight so no overheating !”

“Very happy with my purchase of a down jacket from Shackleton. This is a quality well made item with attention to detail. Beautiful colour from the special way they dye their garments. I've never previously bought an item at this price bracket, but was not disappointed. I feel great wearing my down jacket and it's so warm like a ' friendly hug ' each time you put it on. Quality, style, eco friendly too. 👍”

“I'm confused about the sizing. I ordered a medium gilet a season ago and it was way too small. I ordered this coat in an XS and it is far too big. The quality of the products is fantastic, but the sizing is a challenge, especially when ordering internationally, not to mention exhaustive email correspondence that led to an international phone call to get a return initiated.”

I'm sorry to hear your experience with our sizing charts wasn't great. We have continually reviewed this and try to give as much information on our product pages about style and fit but it's difficult to cater for all shapes and sizes and our current range is designed as menswear so the sizing doesn't always translate when ordering for a woman. I'm please to say though that we have installed a Virtual Fitting Room on our website which enables you to input more information about your body measurements which should help find that perfect fit. We will also be launching a small women's range later this year so do sign up to our mailing list if you haven't already to be kept informed of new product lines. Thank you for your feedback.
