I recently ordered a pair of DM (Adelaide) Henrietta Oxford shoes direct from DM's own website in their clearance sales - but they are only offering the Oxblood version in the sales. In fact the only other colour you can get direct from them (albeit full RRP price of £100/pair) are the Black ones. Through my online browsing, I found Shoes International (SI) and they're offering the DMs at £15 cheaper than full RRP! Plus they're offering the shoes in their original range of three colours (Oxblood, Black and Oak)! Because I am madly in love with the shoes, I ordered two pairs in the colour I don't already own. Having said that, I was fully prepared for SI to come back to me and say "sorry the manufacturer has stopped the Oak version, would you like to cancel it or order a different colour" etc etc etc... I put in my order on a Friday 5 August, by Monday 8 August I received an email telling me to expect delivery in 14 working days. Then yesterday Tuesday 23 August, I got an email telling me they've shipped my shoes and by 15:50 Wednesday 24 August I received delivery of both shoes!!! I am totally over the moon with the service... just BRILLIANT! I mean I have had no need to contact and communicate with them direct, but from reading all reviews I can imagine they'd be super efficient and super helpful! I would definitely be using SI again in the future and will honestly, "from bottom of my heart" kind, be recommending them to friends! Well done guys and keep up the good service! I love the personalised message in the box too! Note: (a) Chaps... despite the shoes being marketed for ladies... don't be scared, they're not too feminine and the heels are only about 1.5"! (b) If you are in between sizes (and have wide-ish feet) you ought to round it up to the next size up. In fact I originally ordered size UK6.5 when I ordered direct from DM but had to return it and re-ordered size UK7, because the shoes are a bit narrow. All in all, if you love the look of the shoes... go for it! I thoroughly recommend them and definitely recommend Shoes International!!!

“I have worn Mephisto shoes for years,but find the stockist in my area has limited selection. I was advised to try on line by my son,but at 90years old I was very hesitant. However I have tried and the results are fantastic, I have bought in the last few weeks 2 pairs and could not be more pleased. No more going to the shops from now on, and feet that are so happy.wynne prior. Norwich.”

“I wanted a pair of shoes in a design I have previously found very comfortable, but I wasn't sure whether I would be able to find them in the shops. I searched on Google for the brand name and the search came up with Shoes International. They had the design of shoe I wanted, so I ordered them and waited a week, and the shoes arrived. Very easy shoe shopping, very happy with the result.”

“I ordered a pair of Mephisto shoes and, though they didn't quite fit, they were returned very quickly and easily with no quibbling. I wish the shoes had arrived sooner, but I think they sourced the shoes after my purchase, though I wasn't there and could be wrong. If they are sourcing the shoes from the manufacturer after purchase, then this explains the delay. If not, then they could have shipped more quickly.”

“Very pleased with my wide width sandals, they took a few months to receive but worth waiting for as they were being made especially to order. Unfortunately I am still waiting for other sandals ordered at the same time. more than 3 months have passed and no communication from shoes International. I was told about 12 weeks to wait for delivery, so perhaps it's time to chase them up!”

Whilst we are of course pleased to hear how you like the sandals, we are sorry to discover you have only deemed us worthy of two stars. Customer service is a very important element of our business. It is therefore disappointing when we discover our customers have reason to be unhappy with the service they have received. I note that we advised you within one working day of the delay. Unfortunately it is not possible for any retailer to stock all the sizes, colours and fitting combinations offered by Waldlaufer - such is the breadth of their range. However we have found that because of the quality and fitting properties of their footwear that customers are prepared to wait, as long as they are kept informed. It seems this is where we have let you down. At the time you wrote your review the delay had become longer than the originally anticipated 12 weeks - and it would usually be our practice to email our customers with an update at this state. We are very sorry that this was not done. We will endeavour to ensure this does not happen in future. We are very sorry for any inconvenience or concern this has caused. “I recently purchased two pairs of Padders shoes. The interesting thing is one pair fitted perfectly, the other was at least a size too big. Both shoes were the same fitting and width. This type of problem makes buying on the internet very difficult. I have returned the misfit shoes.”

“Ordered two pair of Hebden men's shoes but unfortunately the black pair were out of stock with a long delivery time from the manufacturer but the brown pair was sent within 2 days. I have now ordered another pair of brown men's Hebden shoes for another member of my family, just hope they are in stock. Great communication at all times combined with very fast delivery , Shoe International seem to work hard at getting it right...........recommended.”
