“The 2.5m handrail was exactly as described, well made and finished in a black coating. The brackets were easy to attach to the rail and supplied with the wallplugs and stainless steel screws required for straightforward installation to an exterior brick wall. Delivery was prompt - the rail arrived several days earlier than I had expected, the day after it had been dispatched.”

“Brilliant service, rail arrived promptly and was perfect, had follow up order for brackets, we emailed a query about which type would suit our purpose, going in a bathroom, and the query was answered promptly and the brackets arrived quickly, Cannot praise too highly”

“Where to start, well it looks nice finished, but arrived with a warped pole which did pull in to be fair, the fittings are not pure brass as you can pick them up with a magnet! And whatever you do ‘do NOT use the screws supplied’ they break as they are of a sub standard steel and not brass as stated there was also no raw plugs to put the screws into! I personally wouldn’t buy again, having said that, as I said earlier it does look nice finished and remember I am a competent DIYr”

“Handrail was fixed onto the wall yesterday by a tradesman. He was not impressed with the quality, the wood was bowed he had to use extra tools and a different way of attaching it onto the brackets where this was the case. There was also a split in the end of the rail, this was the end at the bottom of my stairs so it’s really obvious. Really disappointed, this was not cheap in my opinion.”

“Ordered 2x2m oak and brass handrails. Arrived on time but contents do not match images - images I have realised too late, show a finished handrail (stained or varnished) description states unfinished - result now having to treat handrails before use. To the company - don’t show finished products - show what we are getting - very misleading.”

Hi Antony, Thank you for your reply. This really is a poor review to read as it paints SimpleHandrails.co.uk in a deceitful way. The photos of your rail do not have any finish on them and the description of the product also states unfinished. There are many different options for finishing the handrails and we can't satisfy everyone with their own tastes. We have tried to reach out to you to sort this issue and you have also declined.
