Hi Richard, Thank you for your review. We sell a lot of these to tradesmen and customers competent with DIY. On the listing it is all specified that this is a kit that has to be put together. We unfortunately can't transport handrails with brackets on as they get smashed off in transit. Customers also like to position the brackets to their own taste. “I was led to believe that I would have a choice of 'time of day' slot for delivery. This was not so, and I had to be prepared to wait all day. It would help others in the future if there was some way of tracking time of delivery. Thank you.”

“I wrote an earlier review where I gave only a 3 star rating. This was because I was asked to review a coated mild steel handrail, when I believed that I had bought a coated stainless steel one. I have since been assured by the company that they ceased making mild steel handrails some years ago and that I did receive what I had ordered. It seems that "Reviews" has yet to recognise this fact.”

“Rail came on the 7th working day. The quality is fantastic. My inlaws have also just purchased. Fantastic price and really heavy. The packaging was solid. Only negative if any is that the courier didnt give us a hour time slot but that is being picky. Thanks Simple Handrails.”

“I ordered a 3.5m length of handrail because I needed 3.3m and I wanted a small amount for comfort (in case of damaged ends). The handrail I received was 3.5m long but one end had a flat that extended for 350mm, giving me an effective 3.15m long handrail. The domed ends gave me another 70mm which made my maximum length of handrail 3.22m, which is 80mm shorter than I wanted. But now that it’s cut and fitted, I have to live with it. In hindsight it would have been better to have gone to B&Q and chosen the mop stick I wanted and be able to verify that I would have 3.3m of usable handrail. Lesson learned. I recognize that we should be more considerate in these times of pandemic but there is no replacement for quality and dimensional control, just non-compliance. While I am on the subject, although their delivery terms state 3 to 12 days, those days are Monday to Friday days only, therefore 3 to 16 days in reality. My mop stick was delivered precisely 21 days after ordering. I checked the live on-line chat twice to get a delivery date, the first time I was given the 11th of 12th business day after my order, the second time I was greeted and then after making my query with complete silence. I called and spoke to a person who apologized for the lack of delivery and promised it would be with me on a certain date, which it was. So, if you’re planning your work around a delivery you may be delayed.”

“Quick response to my query re post spacing allowed me to choose spacings that suited me best. Simple ordering process and feedback on the delivery expectations followed. Took extra time and care to mark out the posts then install the handrail. Two L shaped sections are looking great and I'm well pleased with the product. So pleased I might just use it for a short section at the front of the house now.”
