About Simply LED:

Our mission is a simple one: to make it easy for you to find high quality, low cost LED light bulbs.

Buying light bulbs can be a complicated business at the best of times, but it need not be. Our team has over fifty years of experience in the lighting industry, so who better to help you find what you’re looking for? If you have any questions about LED lighting, we can answer them.

We’ve always believed that high quality doesn’t have to mean high prices, so we are passionate about offering good, reliable LED light bulbs that don’t cost the earth.

We source all of our lighting ranges from reputable factories, and every product has to be up to our strict standards to go on sale on our site. If we don’t like it, we won’t sell it.

Everything looked great until I had to return two bulbs that, whilst the description showed their size, are so unusually enormous that a clearer warning to check sizing before ordering would have saved both me and them time and money.

Can’t really review this year because I bought them too late for this Christmas. The last ones we had didn’t last for long being out in the Pembrokeshire weather and after a short period failed section by section until the whole string had died. I’m hoping that these new ones will be more resilient but only time will tell.

I purchased some replacement cooker hood light bulbs that wouldn’t work, although they fit perfectly. I emailed SimplyLed to ask for advice and they sent a link with the advice to check all of the specifications of the bulb, which I had clearly already done. I thought they would want to check the make/model of the hood and provide advice based on this. However, there was no advice about what I could do next. I would say though, they were very prompt in their response and I would definitely try them again.

Due to industrial action (I assume) not yet received. Still with Royal Mail. Ask me again later (More action on 30th I think). Not your fault.

I have used simplyLED a number of times over the years and have always found the quality of their products to be good, even regarding rf interference. I have always considered the guys to know what they were doing. Unfortunately the last purchase I made which was twelve GU10 Osram bulbs designated cool white turned out not to be cool white.

Every time I order the product I had last time is not listed and I have to switch brands and start working out whether the new product will work. This time the low voltafge sytem would not drive the LEd bulbs ordered. Nothing on the website to indicate this

Bulbs OK, only had them short time. Delivery poor, promised next day delivery but took six days.

Cant fault the service, but the actual product (Crompton harlequin coloured LED lamps) was not as good as was expected. These lamps are stated to be INTERNALLY lacquered but the coloured coating is in fact external and has already to perish or flake of, after only a couple of weeks external use. ) )

The lights are excellent but on delivery they only delivered half the stock and still awaiting the rest wasn't contacted by the company about this just the delivery driver

In a fast changing market I have found LED lights very acceptable and little difference on changing from standard bulbs. Prices are slowly dropping. I have had a few issues with bulbs not lasting more than a few weeks and then it is very difficult to claim the guarantee as (1) I can't remember when a bought specific bulbs and (2) finding guarantees for light bulbs a bit OCD. I have also had a very low delivery on one occasion (out of about 10) when the bulbs took more than a month to arrive. They are not quick with delivery and orders can take 3 weeks plus to arrive. I have swapped all the light bulbs in the house and my electricity bill has dropped.

When you get through to them customer services are great but they are very slow to reply to the web form. In my case I returned some goods for a refund and didn't receive any email acknowledgement of receipt of the goods or the refund being processed. A second order was delayed due to stock shortage but no email was sent and I had to chase it up a week later. Also I received confusing emails telling me I'd got goods in my basket which I hadn't checked out. This wasn't true - on logging in I found the basket was empty. The website and products are great. I am seriously impressed by the latest generation of instantly-on bright LED lamps and I have no doubt that a few hundred quid spent here will save me thousands in the long run.

Order acknowledgement went to spam. Need to check structure,wording etc I have had no problems with other one off suppliers. Address label must conform to postal standards if delivery is to be completed in the shortest time. Post Code must be on a separate line.

I recently purchased my third 5m Cool White LED Strip Light set from SimplyLED and spent over a day removing the three fluorescent tube lights from under the kitchen cupboards, and changing the wiring to accommodate the LED strip light which was divided into two 2.5m lengths. After thoroughly cleaning the underside surface, when the time came to stick the light strip under the cupboards, I discovered after starting to peel-off the backing paper from the double sided adhesive, there was no adhesive for the first 200mm from the cable connector. To complete the installation I had to use some double-sided adhesive carpet tape to make the first 200mm section stick to the cleaned surface. The rest of the first section and the whole of the second section adhered to the cupboards as designed. Also were I to repeat this operation, I would advise against using Cool White LEDs as the colour is too harsh for a kitchen environment.

Correct address on package, but delivered to (partly) same no. property in another development, the occupier of which eventually tracked me down, but of course it was late.
