“Everyone there is knowledgeable and helpful, I’ve purchased many engines from y’all over the last 12 years and only one issue one your end , so that’s darn good. Otherwise anytime they’re is shipping damage which happens quite often which is not on y’all but you always send me the replacement parts promptly and for that I thank you”

“My engine came in with no damages...me and my cousin hooked it up in about 3 hrs or less... started right up and runs like a champ...I had a unique situation... all my stickers were gone off my blown engine so the people at SEW helped me pick the right one...studied the wiring harness closely and made sure shaft size was right... buy a extra pto pulley because they rust on and we had to use a pto pulley and a torch to heat it up to get it off.. I'm very happy and this was a great fix.... o yeah the engine mounting holes on the block aren't threaded so prepare to get out a tap and die set”

“Got an engine that fits and runs. Small wire extension from old frame mounted solenoid (for the fr691v) to the starter mounted solenoid on the fx730v. Big wire for starter used the original wires, just joined them using a terminal on the old solenoid. Runs great. I never new what a good rnmming motor felt like on this mower! Awesome!”

“Is 1 September and John Deere still has not finished the engine replacement in my 445 tractor. They say they are waiting for your instruction on how to get the throttle assembly to connect to the 445 dash. What was supposed to be a 4 hour replacement is now going on month 3. Between you and John Deere there is a real problem - you say you engine replaces the 445 original engine yet John Deere cant get it to work. From early July, Received engine timely, delivered to John Deere Watertown NY. The engine is installed but doesn’t fit / align with the 445 tractor assembly. They have been trying to connect with your service people but nobody has responded. Every time they try to reach you, they charge me labor. Should I just send the motor back? It will not connect. However, the delay has been due to not receiving the photos necessary for our tech and shop to look over before returning a call to your tech. We did finally receive them yesterday afternoon and our tech and shop are currently looking at them now in order to get back to your tech today. Regarding whether to send the motor back, we recommend not taking any further action until our service team can review the situation and provide you with the necessary guidance.

“I purchased a new's 17.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine for my lawn mower, the biggest complaint I have there was no instructions on the wiring diagram for the engine and no manual for this particular engine, as I do not have a printer I have no way of printing a manual, so it would be very helpful and appreciated if you would print out or send me original copy of the manual so I can use this for future information. I now have this enigen for a couple weeks, and each time I try to start it when the engine is cold, I must remove the air filter cap and spray starting fluid on the air filter and then the engine will start fine. I need somebody from your company to call me to explain what the problem is with the engine, because this is not normal. I should not have to spray starting fluid on the filter every time I want to start the engine and cut my lawn Thank you Jim H.”

“I have an old Husqvarna rear tine tiller that had a bad engine. I searched for a couple of years attempting to find a new engine for it but had no success. I spoke with a sales rep at Small Engine Warehouse, and he went to work helping me identify the replacement engine. As it turned out, the engine had been replaced twice by Briggs & Stratton and Brandon was able to verify the fit for my situation. I ordered the engine on Monday and received it on Wednesday via UPS. I put the engine on the tiller and only ran into two issues with the replacement. The belt guard had a stand-off that bolted to the engine and mounted one of the three positions of the guard. It would not fit the new engine but there was a threaded hold in the correct location to mount it. The engine was metric and the old one was SAE but I solved the issue by creating a shoulder bold out of a piece of steel rod and tapped one end to fit the engine and the other to the original SAE threads. Problem solved. After filling the engine with oil and fuel, it started on the first pull. I tilled my garden and it worked flawlessly. When I finished tilling, I killed the engine and restarted it, it started on the first pull once again. I am extremely pleased with the engine and with the very fast service that was provided by Brandon Branscum and Small Engine Warehous. In fact, I am so pleased that if I can find a replacement engine fo my old front tine tiller, I will likely buy a new engine for it from Small Engine Warehous as well. Very pleased customer.”
