“Our guide Dan Ofri and our driver Moti were very good. The places we visited were amazing. The hotels were adequate. Our experience in Petra was not very good. Our guide there was arrogant and refused to slow his speech to make it easier to understand him. We were told prices for the free? Horseback ride and then we’re strong-armed by the guides who actually swore and used foul language to one of our relatives. I would definitely not recommend Jordan. At the end of the tour we were left to her own devices. The bus driver that was supposed to take us from Jerusalem to the Tel Aviv airport was late and we had a call to wake him. Once at the airport there was no guidance as to what line to get into or where to go and we were given the wrong information by one of the airport staff which delayed are going through all the lines. Several of our fellow passengers who have gone on previous tours with smart tours Mentioned that if this was their first tour it would’ve been there last”

“Traveling from Porto to Combria, we stopped in Guarda which was a waste of time and made us arrive very late. In fact, most arrivals in new places were too late. Needed another day in Lisbon and could have skipped Evera or made just one night. Sintra should have been part of the itinerary. Do not like so many optional tours. More should have been included, such as boat ride on the Douro and certainly Sintra.”

“Excellent travel in large part due to knowledgeable, very organized and efficient tour director Betty Levin. Can’t provide enough kudos to her handling of our tour. Recommend keeping tour count of guests under twenty as that number makes travel much more manageable and comfortable. Very interested in any other tours Betty leads.”

“Very well organized. We had a very knowledgeable and organized guide. Our accommodations were lovely. The extra tours provided were very good and well priced. We enjoyed all our meals and also the opportunity to have some free time to explore some of the cuisine on our own.”

“The only problem that I had was the upgraded room in Cairo. The Cairo Marriott view of the Nile is extremely noisy. The highway runs along the Nile River. The cars constantly blow their horns. I couldn’t enjoy the balcony/view.”

“Portugal is a lovely country. The guide was a good person, but very disorganized and talked too much. The visit to Guarda should be removed from the itinerary. Instead of the Obidos excursion, Sintra should be included with just a visit to the palace.”

“Everything was fine but the last hotel we stayed at in Rabat was not very good. The final dinner set up was not very good either. Our tour group should have been at one large table NOT five or six.”

“Most of the hotels were good in terms of quality, but the breakfasts were below average in several places based on other trips. The trip should have had a brief stop in Abudhabi. The 4 hour layover affected the arrival agenda. The location of the hotel in Fiji was not good. We were not shown some of the beautiful parts of the Island. These are reasons why rated acceptable.”

“Tour guides were the best, extremely knowledgeable! The only disappointment was that we were, being third time Smartours travelers were given standard rooms, while first time Smartours travelers in our group were given upgraded rooms !!! Unfair!!! Suzie n Dan Byler”

“Greece was my second trip with SmarTours and it was awesome. Our tour guide Granville brought the feeling and beauty of Greece into our hearts and Nina brought the history. A perfect duo. Everyone on the tour was wonderful.”

“Nile cruise was a bomb...became ill from bad water in drinks... was sick for 4 days. Diarrhea and throwing up was suffered by many people including myself and our daughter. The guide was great. We loved the trip, but when your sick in 90 degree heat.. it became a trip of endurance.”

“Excellent trip with sensational sights. The guide Khalid was great Very hectic trip. Negative: NO TIME FOR SHOPPING. The tour should have time for shopping at most of stops but instead only had one shopping stop on the last day. Tourists expect time for shopping.”
