“I just returned from the Splendors of Egypt tour. It was amazing. Our tour director and guide, Inas Hussein, was wonderful. A brilliant Egyptologist, she was so informative about Egyptian history and culture and an absolute pleasure to travel with. The accommodations were excellent. Before I left friends asked "Egypt now??", there was not one moment where I felt unsafe, and the Egyptian people are lovely. The local Smart Tours contacts at each location could not have been more helpful. I have traveled extensively, it was one of the best travel experiences in my life. This was my first organized tour, it will not be my last on smarTours.”

“We have been the customer of Smartours for many years with last trip was Amazing Thailand in April 2023. We enjoyed every trip we took with SmarTours especially the last trip of Amazing Thailand. The tour guides were so friendly and help to assist us to book a hotel to stay one more day when we found out that our flight was one day later than the final tour day.”

“I hate my tour to South Africa, big group with lots of handicapped people. I don’t have any problem but it really slow people who has no walking problems, they should have 2 groups one for people with problems walking and another one for people who can walk fast.”

Hi Laura! Thank you for your feedback. We have a range of tours with everything from leisurely activity and pacing levels like our cruises, to more advanced where you can expect to be hiking and constantly on the move. You can see what each tour is categorized as in the "what to expect" section of each tour before booking. We do happily welcome individuals that are both able bodied and need some assistance provided they can manage on their own or with the help of their travel partner. “Nicholas Patti was an amazing guide. He is Argentinian and was incredibly helpful in Buenos Aires, as well as on the cruise. The tour was first-rate: ship, food, environment. A bit of a physical workout; whether walking a few kilometers up a 40% incline to see penguin rookery, snow-shoeing around an island to see seals, or even getting in and out of a kayak without help. This trip is not for people with mobility issues. Hurtigruten provides a waterproof jacket and rubber boots; they are a first-class operation. The scenery is amazing. Drake Passage is quite the force of Nature. Even as a seasoned traveler I was overwhelmed by the landscape and fauna. A MUST-DO trip.”

“This was a great and amazing cruise tour especially all that you see with the days of the tour. Our hotel, Hotel Electra Palace in Athens was great and had amazing view of the Acropolis from the 8th floor restaurant. It was great. We truly had a great time especially having our tour director, Gina Agelopoulou, who was so amazing, attentive and very hospitable. She made our trip so amazing and so memorable. Thank you Gina. I would highly recommend this cruise tour to anyone. You will truly enjoy it. I would di it again. Thank you Smartours. Already booked our next tour to Turkey, can’t wait.”

“It was a very good tour, frim the tour director Gina who was so organized, the hotel with good location and service, same with Cylestyal Crystal,service was very good and cabin is clean and neat. Shows are very good too. It was a very nice experience seeing some of the wonders of the world. I’ve been using Smartours whenever I have the opportunity to see places. One if my nieces started to use Smartours, just took the Iceland tour in November and will take the Croatia,Slovenia tour in May and Turkey tour in November 2023.”

“I loved the Women-Only Iceland trip with SmarTours. The tour was well-paced, the hotels were excellent, and the Tour Guide was fantastic. The included meals were delicious and there was plenty of opportunity to get out on our own if we wanted to see the sights. I saw so many beautiful places, glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, beaches, lava fields, hot springs, but no Northern Lights! Oh well - I have a good excuse to return. Thank you SmarTours for a fantastic trip.”

“smartours are the best. this is my third time taking the africa with Victoria falls tour the guides are great, the safaris are outstanding..I have a zillion pictures of so many animals. the accommodations are first class. I especially love the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge...you must experience the Boma show and dinner..what fun. you will not be disappointed. maybe I'll see you in may.?.”

“The tour to Costa Rica was very well planned out and executed. Our guide, Vinicio was knowledgeable, humorous and kept everything running smoothly and our driver, Wilmer, got us places some smaller vehicles would have had trouble going. Vinicio shared information regarding the country which provided us greater insight to the people and customs that we experienced. We met some delightful individuals and made some new friends we will keep in touch with. We are looking forward to our next smarTour trip.”

“Amelia Custodio, Tour guide Trip to Portugal, Oct 3-13, 2022 We want to extend our deep appreciation for our marvelous tour guide, Amelia Custodio, who led our recent trip to Portugal on Oct 3-13, 2022. Our tour to Portugal exceeded our expectations, thanks to Amelia who made this trip an unforgettable experience. She demonstrated leadership skills. Within the short time of our arrival, Amelia established the rules which created a positive atmosphere and made everyone of the the group feel very welcome. To every site which was mentioned in the Smartours daily excursion, Amelia provided a thorough historical and cultural background of the site which enriched our knowledge and experience. She also emphasized the importance of being on time and requested that all members of the tour be punctual. She was extremely sensitive to the needs of each individual. For example, if someone didn’t feel well, she offered to help. If someone had special dietary needs, Amelia made arrangements with the restaurant to satisfy the traveler’s dietary needs. Although, the group was heterogeneous in terms of age and ability, Amelia made everyone feel comfortable and motivated.”

“Jewels of the Adriatic tour was splendid, tour director Mirna made each day delightful for us. First snd last hotels were the best but all had their charm snd I enjoyed each one. The local guides are well chosen and informative. I have enjoyed each of the several SmarTours I have taken and refer friends too.”

“"Turkey trip was excellent! We always felt very safe and were extremely impressed with everyday life in Turkey! It was enhanced by the professionalism of our tour guide. The historical sites were amazing and the city of Troy truly exists! Hot air ballooning was not to be missed! Cappadocia was my favorite with the cave tunnels that have existed since about 2000 BC. From swimming in the Mediterranean in Antalya to the bazaars in Istanbul, trip was amazing!"”
