“Bought beers as a gift. The recipient was very happy and the delivery was all good. Thank you.”

“I have just received a corporate gift box from my company. The extent of packaging is not consistent with your values and the values of society at present. A cardboard box within another cardboard box, really?? Also the box is a least twice the size necessary for the contents as most of the space was taken up by polystyrene beads. It is verging on being "Amazonesqe" for oversized and unnecessary packaging. Not impressed.”

Hi Bryan, Thank you for your feedback. Happy to confirm the packing peanuts are made from potato starch rather than polystyrene and are fully biodegradable. They even dissolve in water: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pkHkhbVXk5E In terms of the box inside a box, since this is a gift box the outer shipping box is needed for protection, and all boxes are made from minimum 90% recycled cardboard. We work hard to fit contents in the smallest box possible, with the main restriction being where there is a bulky item like a bottle of wine this will require a certain minimum size. However we take your feedback seriously and will continue looking at ways we can reduce the box sizes & overall cardboard used across the range. All the best, Matt

“I was informed after my purchase that the product I ordered was out of stock, however the customer service contacted me immediately and refunded my order straight away. “Wonderful customer service. Gift was sent to old address as I didn’t know the recipient had moved. The courier delivered the parcel without verifying if the receiver was actually still residing there, and when brought it up to Social Supermarket they were happy to send a new parcel to the correct address while at the same time handling the whole wrong delivery with the courier themselves. 5 stars.”
