“completely unprepared for RSD, waiting online for over an hour with a crashed site, let me add vinyl to my cart just to say they were ‘out of stock’ after an HOUR?
Just complete waste of an hour of my life, Pie and Vinyl will never see my business again.”
“As some other reviewers, I had a terrible experience with a online purchase from Pie And Vinyl:
Bought 5 records from them and only because I asked, been informed that one of them was out of stock. They told me that they could sent it only in 1 month. I requested refund, and then the lies started: They told me that after all the supplier would send them a copy the week after. I accepted to keep the order with that condition (1 week shipping). In the end they only sent the order one month later (with a lot of lies in between, saying that the order was dispatched, but never sent tracking number). When finally they sent the order (on the first date they gave me, big coincidence) the package was lost, and they refused to make the refund. I had to open a Paypal claim to get my money back, 3 months after i placed and paid my order. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!”
“If you are walking pass the south sea, must visit this place. The best part about it is the vibe for me honestly. I don't usually enter a new store without checking reviews but this one not only attracted me in but made me stay for a little longer. Still here and absolutely loving it.”
“Ordered a vinyl on line. Nothing turned up. When I asked what what going on they said it was “out of stock”. Offered me a refund but never processed it despite numerous further requests. Had to raise a PayPal claim to get my money back.”
“Wish I'd found this review site before ordering. I'm sure the physical cafe/shop setup is great but as an online business I would steer clear. To be fair they were pretty good at sorting out my refund but that was about it.
I ordered a record that was 'in stock' but a month later nothing had come of it. After emailing to find out where it was up to I received a pretty blasé response that amounted to 'Oh yeah, soz... that record's on... erm... back-order, yeah that's it' (read: we took your money for a record that's long-since disappeared from our shop and have no intention of finding it for you or even bothering to notify you of this but hey, thanks for the cash').
I was asked if I wanted to swap it out for another order and thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but the site search is non-functioning so you just have to browse manually. When I did find a couple of records I was interested in they were out of stock once you clicked through to them to find out more. I must've spent an hour and a half on there and was left totally frustrated.
In short, please avoid Pie And Vinyl for your own sanity: Absolutely zero comms, a web shop that barely functions and email responses that left me wondering if they actually care about running an online shop. Stick to the pie, guys - I'm sure it's great.”
“This company has plenty of good reviews, but these are based on them being a cafe/shop. There online business is appalling. I found several reviews on reviews.io that were a carbon copy of my experience.
1. Take the money and order straight away.
2. Never follow up to acknowledge what’s happening with your order.
3. You send an email requesting what’s happening with your order.
4. Reply saying they are looking into it.
5. They send another email saying your order is no longer in stock.
6. You then request a refund but no one acknowledges your request.
They have now had my money for nearly two weeks.
To be secure stick with Amazon.”
“Placed an online order, they never shipped it or replied to any form of communication. After a month I got a refund from the bank in the end. Embarrassingly poor service, it doesn’t get worse.”
“Wrong pies sent.... AGAIN. No support from the store. The pies we did receive were cold. Not sure how a small shop that only sells pies can be so awful”
“This outfit took my vinyl mail order and money. After hearing nothing for a week, I questioned it. This prompted them to check, and they had no stock. I don't know when they going to tell me.
Waste of time.
Stick to Pies.”
