I attended Specksavers Cheetham Hill Fort shopping centre this afternoon.I was so impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness of all staff. I must add that both Matt and Muhammad were so attentive and gave good advice and made my visit a pleasant one. I left with the knowledge that my custom was appreciated and I will certainly recommend this team at the Fort branch Cheetham Hill

I was. Told if I selected from a certain range of glasses I could bye one pair and get one pair free. It wasn’t until I went to pay that they told me only the frames. We’re free. My total bill come to£380.00. I will never give them the opportunity to con me again.

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is shockingly bad considering they are the bigger of the two specsavers in Croydon. I would honestly advise people to go anywhere else but here.

Rang for some new batteries . The stupid message said busy . Fair enough but no hint of where i was in the queue. So left a message , said they would ring back but still waiting . My nearest audiology department is 22 miles away . The one in evesham is closed . When i reported my aid wasn't working the audiologist didn't seem to care less . She said it’s fully functional. I know it isn't because i cannot hear anything from it . I gave up and left before i lost my temper . This was a while ago and to repair it i have to get to worcester which as i said is 22 miles away . Complete joke of a business ,go somewhere else .

5 weeks ago(imm 45,from Scotland, plese forgive seling mistakes for due to Specsavers I've recently had to go the "one eye" rout)I went to Specsavers cos I had new floaters. Was examind and told all parts of my eye were not just fine but healthy. Not convinced I sspent 5 weeks at AandE and even my doctors, finally 8 days ago tommoro I was back at Specsavers, detached retina. Had extensive surgery 2 days later, current blind in right eye,if all goes well I'll get some, maybe most back in 6monthss,or I'll just be blind in right eye.

I asked for a quote for the £70 buy one get one free range, with one pair being bifocal. I was quoted £120. I suggested to the staff member that if I changed the bifocal pair to straight distance glasses, it would save £50 (for the bifocal extra cost) and he agreed. When I sat down with another staff member to finalise my order, I was told the £70 bogoff deal doesn't apply because of the different prescription which doesn't make sense. So I left the shop (in Hempstead Valley) and bought my glasses in Vision Express for £87.50. I dislike a) being misled and b) the constant efforts to upsell in Specsavers. I certainly wouldn't go back.

Will not say happy. Disappointed actually. Recent experience was too much technology. Initially sat on chair which was too low to feel comfortable on. Analytics are fine to some degree but my main question is:- Why was I asked to pay £267 when, having been told my eyesight hadn't got worse that much ? Why did the practioner who carried out the IT exam referred me to hospital? Why did the salesperson quote a ridiculous price when I only needed lense replacements ? Confusing and disappointing. Feel that the emphasis is on hard sales targets somehow aiming towards private clients because of NHS crisis

Just seeing a lady comment on how bad worthing specsavers is, I can confirm this too. Optics is a small world and the optometrist director “dennis” thinks he has an amazing reputation with him proud to hold 100percent conversion rate but in actual fact his patients go elsewhere and then other opticians have to explain to these poor people that you should never have been sold these glasses in the first place because you have cataracts. Avoid specsavers worthing if you want real patient care.

I visited the Farnborough branch of Specsavers to have my eyes checked. The hard sell began before I had even had my eyes tested. As I need varifocals, the salesman was trying to sell me £215 technical lenses even though I didn't need such a high specification. It was then suggested that I could do with 3 pairs of glasses. I then went for the tests and the optician herself was professional and excellent. Coming out of the exam, the super salesman would not leave me alone to choose new frames and was pushing for me to pay for top of the range add-ons. It was when he mentioned that I needed the 'Ultra Clear Superclean' treatmentas this 'treatment' made the molecules of the reactions process to work faster that I had had enough. As I needed glasses urgently, I have now rejected his offers but still spent £380 for twos sets of mid price frames with the new lenses. I won't be going back in the future. Hard sell before the tests? Oversell before and after the test? I don't think so.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Specsavers, New Plymouth Devon Street store. After months of searching for the ideal glasses to address my specific eye issues, their team was incredibly patient and supportive. They took the time to explore every option from Progressive and even contact lenses and ultimately helped me find the ideal pair of Bifocal as a solution. Their kindness and dedication made all the difference. I can't recommend them enough!

Worthing branch. I needed to order some replacement parts for my privately purchased hearing aids and telephoned. Impossible to speak to an actual person, just advised to leave a number and be called back "within 48 hours"! What sort of service do they call that? I call it diabolical.

Cannot stand this company. Staff nearly always rude and/or incompetent. I never leave reviews to slate a business but with Specsavers, I felt compelled. Avoid at all costs.

What a fantastic store we have here in Poole we are so lucky. My hearing aid stopped working. I went to specsavers in Poole greeted at the door by friendly and helpful staff, who took my hearing aid and gave it to Lisbeth an amazing audiologist who fixed my hearing aid, I would like to take this opportunity of thanking Lisbeth for successfully fixing my hearing aid whilst working around her busy schedule and enabling me to go on holiday today with the joy of being able to hear people, well done specsavers.

I worked for this company for over ten years. I will continue to speak out about their corruption to try and save patients from this awful donald trump conveyer belt money making scammers. They bully their staff and optometrists to produce the highest conversion rates, this leads to optometrists changing your prescriptions by tiny amounts that you wouldnt notice and then telling you to buy £400 varifocals. One thing the public does have on their side, is if they really think to themselves, can i see the smallest pront on that reading chart with my old reading glasses? If the answer is yes, you do NOT need new glasses. There will already be thousands of customers who have experienced this, paid money, then given refunds or prescriptions changed back to what they already were. Please stop endorsing these horrible, corrupt retail directors who have zero patient care.

My problems with Flint Specsavers started pre covid when I paid rather a lot of money for glasses I couldn’t see through and which also had crooked interchangeable arms. It was difficult to get anybody to correct these problems during covid so I put up with them. Post Covid I then went on to purchase another pair of expensive varifocals where once again I had vision problems. Maybe it was because I couldn’t get on with varifocals I thought so I then went for an eye test earlier this year to have single vision glasses made. Once again I could not see clearly, Specsavers gave me another eye test a week later with different readings!!! Another pair of glasses were made and guess what…. I couldn’t see through them. I was told this was because I had the ….start…. Of cataracts which were not too bad, so wouldn’t have any impact on my sight. In desperation I returned the single vision glasses and I got my money back. I was made to feel quite uncomfortable during this process, there are some very nice staff and there are some staff that need further training in customer service at this particular Specsavers. I then decided to go to another optician at a £30 cost for an eye test (as my free national health test had been used in Flint). There it was discovered I had a full blown cataract and I would never have had clear vision until it was corrected. My gripe is, this has cost me a lot of money over the last few years. Why was the cataract not picked up by them. Are the machines they use faulty or is it incompetent staff, because something or someone is very wrong. Can cataracts grow to be full cataracts in the space of 2weeks???? I now would not go back to Flint Specsavers as the trust has gone, and finally some, not all of the staff, need further training in customer services.
