We have visited Specsavers Camberley and although they are very good at performing eye tests and helping with choosing and fitting glasses, the Contact lens department may need to go on a Customer Service refresher course. My daughter wanted to try contact lenses and had an introductory appointment in August 2018. At the appointment the staff member was extremely unhelpful and quite rude when it was clear that my daughter was nervous about trying contact lenses but was keen to overcome the fear of putting something into her eyes. The appointment was a disaster and I later complained to the Assistant Manager about this member of staff. He looked on the system and was able to see who the member of staff was and did apologise. He booked us another appointment for today and when we arrived we are assigned the same member of staff again! The way she spoke to my daughter today was completely unacceptable telling her that she lacked self confidence and that she was not trying hard enough so I stopped the appointment as my daughter was on the verge of tears and we left. I was tempted to cause a scene but felt this may distress my daughter even more so we left and booked a new appointment with Vision Express.

Specsavers Chepstow is like being on a conveyer belt, not a pleasant experience. I paidfor two glasses the readers were fine but the driving glasses were not as long distance was out of focus. Took them back and told I would have to come yet again to have another eye test. This would have me travelling back yet another time to collect the glasses when corrected. As we are leaving the country shortly have decided to give and get new glasses abroad as time is running out. Now they are not answering the phone so I can't cancel the appointment for the repeat eye test.

I have been with Specsavers for a long time, but after today. The experience I had with the one in Kingsbury, London was appalling. I went in there to get my prescription (when I rang in to the Specsavers in harrow who have my prescription they had told me I can get it from my local one as well as them at Harrow.) The man in the store he was wearing glasses, a little bit short. He seemed like the manager. However when I asked him he was like no we don't give out prescriptions, I told him the Specsavers at Harrow told me I can get it from here but he kept refusing to give it. Later on I went outside and rang up the Specsavers at Harrow to ask them if this is true that they cannot give it (to double check if I was wrong) they told me it wasn't true that I could get it from them. I went back in and gave the phone to the same man in the store, the lady at the harrow store told him that they can fax it to him, he then was like "the fax machine is broken". I find that hard to believe because my friend who had came with me saw a staff using a printer/fax. I asked him why he did not tell me this earlier before I spoke to the harrow stores. He didn't say anything. I am really annoyed at this. I was hoping to get my prescription today because I am going on holiday soon. Is it that hard to use a fax machine?! Why couldn't he have said it before?! The time when we went there it was around 13:40 on Sunday 28th July 2018.

Bought £40 specs for everyday use-light and comfy....but the right screw continually falls out of right arm hinge leaving me to juggle the gigs on my nose to read. Yes I know they were cheap but they shouldn't keep losing a screw.

I have been with specsavers a number of years . These specs that I have got seem to attract the dirt and dust nowhere near as good as I have had before. I keep taking them off because I cannot see clearly.

Ordered new lenses and frames. Eye test and fitting were done professionally if not a little sketchy on detail. On collecting the specs I found a manufacturing fault in one of the lenses. Dealing with one of the assistants I was told the person who measured me for the specs was not available that day and they were the only ones who could deal with it. I mentioned that it was a faulty lens not anything to do with the fitting however I had to make an appointment which due to my availability was a week away. 'I felt that I was not believed that the lens was faulty and that the frames just required adjustment and of course one has to get used to new specs, I have been wearing specs since I was five years old and I am now 69! On visiting at this appointment I did not see the person who fitted me but rather the store manager/owner. He could see the fault in the lens and agreed with me that a new lens was required. I complained about the previous customer service but he was sympathetic. I was given the option of a new lens or a refund. After some consideration of the wait I had had already I opted for a new lens rather that go through the whole process of tests and choosing again with another store. I have just been informed that my new lens is ready but that it has a chip in it so another lens (third one) has been ordered. This is not the first time I have had problems with SpecSavers quality control but it will certainly be the last time I use them.
