First visit to specsavers years ago wasnt good but thought I'd give them another go, big mistake. Varifocals very cheap quality and my readers aren't as good as the cheap ones I got from the supermarket. I suppose you get what you pay for and no plans for a third visit.

Awful company! Second pair of glasses that a spring tensioner have fallen out of the Marc Jacobs frames (£149 total sales cost of glasses £737.00. Discounted down to £429. only to be told that frames just over a year old are discontinued. I personally believe they give you big discounts based on bulk purchase end of line stock. How can they sell frames with no spares available on frames bought just over fifteen months ago?

I had my eye examination at Specsavers in Runcorn Shopping City. My eye examination was professionally carried out, the optometrist explained the details of my eye photographs. When choosing my glasses I was helped by Rachel, who ensured my eyes were in the centre of the lenses when choosing the frames. I give her service 10 out of 10 for attention to detail.

I've always used Specsavers but after my recent visit I won't be going again. I'm 69 so don't pay for eye test, While I was waiting I chose 2 pairs from the£89 range with the thinner lenses which are dearer, plus the reaction lenses that are supposed to be free.Nothing is free in this world, and Specsavers is no exception. When it came time to pay I was told the price would have been£467.31,but they had managed to get it down to£349.31,saving me £118,I don't see where, not picking them up until next week, any problems even minor and I will be asking for a refund

I'm just absolutely horrified, after spending well over £300 at the beginning of December, I'm just about to take back my 3rd remake, as the glasses are still causing me double vision! Over 3 months later I don't have glasses I can wear. My old glasses aren't sharp enough but they don't give me double vision. Shame because I really liked the frames, but I'm sick of wasting my time, and need some glasses I can actually wear. I'll never go back.

I received a letter saying I was due my eye test (NHS over 65 free over 65) I booked and travelled on the due date. Only to be told the was an error. I was a year early, someone had forgotten to up date the computer. I incurred fuel and parking costs, but more importantly the risk of Covid. Also I bet they will charge the NHS for the appointment that was not necessary.

I would like to recommend Lewisham Specsavers due to their efficient, professional and friendly service. I urgently needed replacement glasses and it was all completed and sorted out over the phone in ten minutes. The person who was extremely helpful was named Dean. I explained that I was recovering from COVID and needed the replacements sent by post as I didn't have the energy to come and collect them from the store. He delivered the glasses to my doorstep less than a week later which meant I didn't have to wait much longer for them to arrive. He was very courteous and went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. This really cheered me up and the glasses were quality and a bargain 2 for the price of 1 range. Well done Dean and a big shout out to Lewisham Specsavers!

As always, great service from Specsavers at Middlebrook. Friendly and professional staff from testing, choosing frames and fitting. My glasses were ready in a week and thank you for Ameenas patience in fitting. A very safe environment with all Covid 19 safety procedures in place. I thoroughly recommend Specsavers for quality of customer service where you do not feel rushed. Full marks and thank you. For some reason I am unable to click on the stars however I definitely give service 5 stars!

3 x new glasses arrived, however they were extremely thick, I've not seen lenses that thick in nearly 30 years, also major issue with glare reflecting at multiple angles, not happy at all, arranged another home visit to return & arrange lense thinning ( wasn't even included the first time ) I advised major issue with glare also, paid over £60 for thinning of lenses however once new sets arrived it's very clear clear the minimum thinning was done, even though I wanted maximum thinning, glare has not been resolved, I cannot drive with these glasses either as there's far too many reflective anomalies, not happy, I'm now stuck with 2 sub-par pairs for glasses that I over paid for... Abysmal

Went to the Specsavers pitt St mall in Sydney 7 times to fix a new pair of top tier multi focal glasses. Measurements were wrong the first time and they needed to get it redone. 3 mths later issue is not fixed and it’s too near year end, lost private health rebates for this year. No customer recovery for travel costs to the shop and the gruelling (and unnecessary) tests that I was put through. Bad explanation and service from the start even by the director of that franchise. Should have informed that multi focal lens is not a good option from the start to save all the time and physical discomfort. Avoid this franchise and go to others.

I have not been to Specsavers before, I went last month had new frames and lens. The Optometrist was very good and the gentleman who help pick my frames was good also. So I would like to thank them both.

Specsavers has gone downhill. All they want is your money. I have been with them for 20 years and they turned into hyenas from 2018!!! Poor customer service from the store managers and directors. It’s not so much the staff. It is their leaders that lack customer service and professional etiquette. They are rude, dismissive and helpful. Specsavers is the worst optical company to go to for eye care. It is a sham to the public and to me. They are only nice when it comes to upwelling and taking your money BUT when it comes to defective glasses under warranty and you trying to assert your legal rights that’s when they become nasty and unprofessional that includes hanging up on you and threatening you with police! My review is across two stores!!! Avoid Specsavers! The worst stores is the Watford and Rickmansworth Store in Hertforshire!!!! I’ve reported this sham of an optical company to optical regulators. Aftab Sham director of the Watford and Ali Hashim director of Rickmansworth store have been both been the worst experience I’ve had after 18 years!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

1. Turned up at wrong branch in Dunstable thanks to agent who booked my appointment over the phone... told to get back in car and to go to the other branch. 2. Best healthcare check ever, the optometrist was so thorough and explained so much was feeling positive.... until ..., 3. Taken downstairs for heavy slick sales pitch with the £89 frames I’d picked now becoming £333 after An initial £425 ...but with me not opting for super dooper glare repellent he’d be able to shave off even more... whoop whoop he’d got it down to £333!!! 4. In a nano second suddenly the card machine is poised and he is rubbing his hands together at the thought of his commission. 5. In a further Nano second the smile is wiped off his face when he realised I’m not about to make payment. Thank goodness for my Apple Pay being faulty. It actually gave me some breathing space to think and realise it is not what I want to do. Breathing space, he’d been so careful not to give me any!! 6. The disappointment is obvious as his vibe completely changed. He insists I call as soon as I get home and ask for him, as he wouldn’t want me to miss out and not get them ordered!! 7. 2 missed calls and 1 voicemail later, chasing for payment. 8. My love affair with Specsavers is well and truly over. Shame because the optometrist was brilliant- the smarmy sales approach not so brilliant. Caution ⚠️ approach with your wits about you, and give yourself time to think over the decision and price.

Just bought a new pair of glasses with a 1.6 lens free, was very happy until i went to collect the glasses and discovered the lenses were very thick!!! Staff at wimbledon branch tried to justify it... being wearing glasses for the last 40 years and prescription is the same Suspected thicker lenses were used.decided to order 1.67 thickness for an extra 20 pounds.will collect next week but i told them i expext same thickness as the ones i have. Specsavers used to be very good but recently they are being very greedy using cheap misleading marketing techniques.i will post again when i get the 1.67 lens.
