“Great magazine with interresting articles for new and old coffee-geeks. The coffee samples that comes with the magazine is also very high quality! 5 stars from me”
“Interesting stuff. Advertisements inform of brands I don't normally see.
I am torn between conscious interesting choice of cover but also makin it weird to read in public.”
“This is my favorite cover of the redesigned Standart so far! simply because the visual vibe is exactly how this summer feels to me. As a quarterly delivery, the cover really matters to me whether it is seasonal or not.
I clearly had a first impression too, that the editorial photography in this issue is exceptionally good. Water Please! the photo feature remains my favorite piece after browsing from cover to the end a few times. I like every aspect of it, set design, photography, color edit, layout...and especially I’m so fond of glass works as daily vessels for drinks and delighful interior objects.
Story wise, I enjoyed reading the interview with Fabiana Carvalho on sensory experiences and memories, a topic that I’m personally interested. I do read out line by line when I read books and magazines. With this one, I find myself gradually and unconsciously turn to English accent. Part of me started to imagine myself in a real conversation with Fabiana in London, where I try to simulate English accent based on my voice memories of those conversations with friends from England hah
Does memories that involve sound and voice have the tendency to stay with us longer? I’m curious.”
“The magz and beans are just delightful to take-in, only downside is the subscription stopped at latest issue and its been 3 months without new ones coming in.”
“I really enjoy the photos and graphic design of standart. I appreciate the fact that they go to the local farmers and small coffee shops in remote parts of the world but also give us the history of great coffee machine makers such as Victoria Arduino.
thank you”
“Standart is a very interesting and rich magazine for coffee enthusiasts. I have been enjoying the interviews and the photography and learning more about the industry.”
“Thoughful and informative articles about coffee and coffee culture that often take you to places and issues that you didn't hadn't realised that you'd wanted to explore.”
“As a long-time subscriber to Standart magazine, I love it to pieces. I cannot imagine my days without it.
The quality of the materials is very high, making for a perfect time-off read.
I also like the actual size of it - doesn't take up too much space in my backpack and I can carry it around easily.
The latest issue (#35) was centered around water and I love how creative the editorial team gets when there's a general theme for the issue.
Overall, high-quality print media - recommended!”
