“I really enjoy the all around quality aspects of the Standart. The construction, smell and feel is something we tend to lose touch with being inundated with computers and digital content all around us. There is nothing better than sitting down with a nice coffee and indulge in some hefty crisp pages of good journalism. Keep up the great work!”
“Love the magazine - the content and execution are beautiful. The only thing I've found is that sometimes it's hard to see who photos are credited to (particularly the covers / frontispieces), unless that's me missing something!”
“So this was my first read of Standart (issue 23) and I was pretty excited to be reading all about coffee. There were sections that were all about coffee and these were written brilliantly with great knowledge and respect for the industry. Then unfortunately there were sections that were not so great, and to be honest, had nothing to do with coffee (about 40% overall). Those sections I felt definitely let the experience down, nevertheless I still enjoyed the magazine as a whole. For future issues I would love for there to be less of the sections that have very tenuous links with coffee. Also some of the writing specifically in these sections came across as quite pretentious in a bid to stretch the content further than it needed to be. In addition, the coffee sample was fantastic, and I absolutely love the artwork within the magazine. It would be amazing for Standart readers to have digital access to some of this artwork, i.e. using it as screensaver or backgrounds.”
“Standart is the ultimate coffee publication in my eyes. It’s packed full of stories from all corner of the industry, stories that go below the surface. It’s beautifully curated, and always an enjoyable read. Always! Only tiny criticism is that the checkout experience could be improved slightly. When you’re not subscribing and just want a single issue, it can be confusing to know what you’ve signed up for, and whether you’ve entered into a subscription on not. It’d be better to offer single issues without having to go through the subscription process, and would avoid confusion.”
“Great coffee magazine, interesting and thorough articles, inclusive and fresh point of views, beautifully illustrated. The coffee pack is a nice bonus ! (And I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a few more beans on the bag )”
“Enjoyable magazine that looks at the world of coffee a bit differently than other publications. Less focused, which is both its curse and its blessing. The advertisement structure is a bit odd, but c'est la vie!”
