“Great magazine with a broad variety of topics around coffee. Excellent print quality and well layouted. Be open minded and curious and this will be your mag.”
“I loved the visuals of the magazine. I’ve been looking for something like this but haven’t come close to what I found in Standart. Great stories with even greater visuals, an important part to a great coffee subscription magazine.”
“Very well curated magazine from the art to the content. you consider incorporating a Science article for the right brains and really appreciated the indigenous spotlight who are really overlooked amongst all the haute.”
“What I love about Standart is a lot: the paper, the design, the photography and above all the choice of subjects: Going beyond just coffee, the magazine also tackles socially relevant subjects such as gender issues, fairness, inclusiveness as well as providing background stories on baristas, coffee producers and other interesting people. It is fun to leaf through, informative to read and entertaining to skim the photos.”
“The aim of this company is fantastic, and the latest issue (#29) which I read was very good, but with one setback which almost made me put the whole thing down: mixed in with the great, well written, coffee-based articles, are opinion pieces with little basis in coffee giving platform to someone to write about their views. This isn’t problematic in and of itself, but it takes away from the quality of this magazine. I didn’t know whether the next article would be a genuinely well written and interesting piece on coffee cultivation in a different country, or about how coffee shops have a responsibility to provide menstruation products in the bathrooms, or about how bespoke queer suit-tailoring is underrepresented and holds long hours, weak pay, and a difficult learning curve, (insert more complaints about said industry here). Is this really the place for that? It’s up to standart to decide what they want to be, but the latter two examples felt like quite a departure from what they advertised to be. Personally, I really enjoyed certain articles on the subjects of cultivation, brewing process, barista skills, etc; but I had to force myself to not put it down as I flipped over the unnecessary unfocused highly charged opinion pieces. This isn’t to bring up values, or moral arguments, just to say I felt the magazine wasn’t well focused on the subject of coffee throughout, but rather used something mildly involved/related to coffee to speak on whatever the writer wanted.”
“The activation of the gifted subscription is a bit too nuanced. I received a gift subscription and took 2 days of trying to figure it out off and on. Couldn't figure it out until I talked with a representative. I had no clue that it was like a "discount code you put in before you purchase. Other than that, I love it and am so happy to have it!”
“I got the magazine as a surprise for my partner, and we both love it! First of all, the customer service is superb. It made getting the gift card even easier and assured me every step of the way. And with special thanks to Sergey, who checked in when I'd gotten distracted! He made sure I didn't miss the gift card that had made it into my spam folder. A lot of care obviously goes into the articles, print and delivery. We've had problems with the post office before, so we were skeptical, but the delivery was seamless! We were very pleasantly surprised when the magazine arrived without hassle. And the coffee sample is, of course, amazing! It's overall a great experience, and I recommend it for any coffee lovers, avid readers, or people who just love that authentic analog experience of getting a package in the mail and being delightfully surprised by its contents.”
“The magazine provided a thoughtful and insightful exploration of coffee culture, and was well worth the read. The accompanying coffee bean sample was well beyond stale by the time it had negotiated international delivery”
“I travel with this magazine, in listening the Bach's Coffee Cantata, drinking a good coffee and learning a lot about the masculine origins of coffee culture. Each magazine is a real surprise for me. So colorful, well illustrated et al. Thanks a lot for everything with research of great quality.”
“Standart mag is a great read. Cover to cover, each issue always has great articles, stories & interviews. Standart is diverse, well researched & beautifully laid out with eye catching artwork & photography. I've said this before and I'll say it again - I'll easily read it a couple of times.”
“Exquisite magazine design-once more- with a plethora of juicy articles like The Turbo shot, Valuing Coffee etc. The particular issue keeps me coffee-motivated and can't wait for the next one!!”
“Coffee culture and people. Interesting articles covering different topics through coffee - sustainability, environmental protection, counties economic and political development, human body and psychology. I’m eagerly waiting for every issues.”
“The magazine is very well printed, the content is very informative and the design is great, I really like the Shout section of the mag it is very interesting to read, and most of the times I agree with the content and points of views almost always. I really like the mag”
