The activation of the gifted subscription is a bit too nuanced. I received a gift subscription and took 2 days of trying to figure it out off and on. Couldn't figure it out until I talked with a representative. I had no clue that it was like a "discount code you put in before you purchase. Other than that, I love it and am so happy to have it!

I got the magazine as a surprise for my partner, and we both love it! First of all, the customer service is superb. It made getting the gift card even easier and assured me every step of the way. And with special thanks to Sergey, who checked in when I'd gotten distracted! He made sure I didn't miss the gift card that had made it into my spam folder. A lot of care obviously goes into the articles, print and delivery. We've had problems with the post office before, so we were skeptical, but the delivery was seamless! We were very pleasantly surprised when the magazine arrived without hassle. And the coffee sample is, of course, amazing! It's overall a great experience, and I recommend it for any coffee lovers, avid readers, or people who just love that authentic analog experience of getting a package in the mail and being delightfully surprised by its contents.

The magazine provided a thoughtful and insightful exploration of coffee culture, and was well worth the read. The accompanying coffee bean sample was well beyond stale by the time it had negotiated international delivery

I travel with this magazine, in listening the Bach's Coffee Cantata, drinking a good coffee and learning a lot about the masculine origins of coffee culture. Each magazine is a real surprise for me. So colorful, well illustrated et al. Thanks a lot for everything with research of great quality.

Standart mag is a great read. Cover to cover, each issue always has great articles, stories & interviews. Standart is diverse, well researched & beautifully laid out with eye catching artwork & photography. I've said this before and I'll say it again - I'll easily read it a couple of times.

Tremendously deep, anti-neocolonial investigations into coffee. Engaging and inspiring.

It’s been so much fun to receive a magazine WITH COFFEE!! I love to sip along to it with reading the magazine, it’s an experience. I do wish the articles were a little shorter and more to the point.

I am really enjoying this issue of Standart. It is my first one and it is beautiful. The humbleness from the editors perspective, the great stories of Thailand coffee to all the beautiful pics. It is great! I hope some day you can write a piece of the booming coffee culture that has hit the small city of Duluth in the Northland of Minnesota. It can all be pointed to one of the biggest community and cultural movers which is Duluth Coffee Company, from there spawned several specialty coffee roasters. A community that has shared roasters to help get other shops to where they are today, a beautiful story of love. Underwood Coffee Roaster, Dream Cloud Coffee Roaster and Almanac. Others include Fika more up the shore and Alakaf. Duluth Coffee Company has helping small coffee shops in the region build, get trained in, and educated on what coffee is. Specialty people and conscious of the supply chain all the way to the grower. I really think there’s a great story here and I would be happy to connect you with everyone. I have no vested interest in any of these companies except for the love that they have given our community. We’re the city of ~90,000 people but With a really small town feel.

Love my first edition. I would love slightly shorter articles and more of the brewing tips. It may just be me, and maybe nobody else agrees, but I don’t have time to read long articles - but I get it’s slow coffee and slow reading, but I just can’t get through the magazine without a few shorter articles.

At the beginning of magazine they stated that reading Standart is like visiting your favorite cafe and striking up a chance conversation. That's exactly how I felt reading it. I like the graphics. I love certain consistent parts - e.g. there is always an article about some coffee producing country, an interview with cafe owner/barista and one article describing coffee culture in a particular city.
