“I am currently on the phone -- it's completely dead air, trying to get info on how to make a return of an online purchase. The so called free postage return label included in my order was not accepted at UPS, though that is where the instructions tell me to take it. It's not accepted at USPS or the office supply store. Zero response to email with questions. And again, on a dead line, holding. Really had liked the dresses i bought (tho they didn't fit right) but will DEFINITELY not be buying from here again when Amazon makes returns so easy.”

“Received Faux Fur Shawl Collar coat (SKU-71788194...it exceeded my expectations a million times over. Ordered the natural color...perfect. The fit was perfect and will certainly keep me warm and can be worn to work or for play. Also, lined and can be washed. Thinking about ordering the other color because the price and quality is great! Best purchase I have made all year! Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!”

“Been a faithful customer in nashville and AZ for 25 years. Moved to Michigan and was told no coupons accepted. Not only that I felt as if the Rochester location was on same level as Salvation Army. Just poor layout, crappy merchandise, restroom dirty. Nothing good to say about the store any more. No longer faithful customer but the casher said oh this is the good of the company....yeah right.”

“The W. Bloomfield store (Detroit area) has a bad (missing, abusive) manager. Last time I shopped there (2 wks ago) he was yelling at both employees (they are lovely) and customers. I left and called corp. office. No return call. The store looks like Schlock Fifth Ave. Don't shop there unless you want to experience abuse!”

“I have shopped at stein mart in sunset hills for years. Recently management must have changed or something.... last 2 times I’ve shopped there I have had the rudest sales help. I won’t go back!”

“Today is 11/15/19. I just received the sale flyer that ended 11/11/19. If you are paying someone to mail these you are getting ripped off. So am I in that I am not able to take advantage. Pop”

“I don't understand all the negative reviews on here. I have nothing but positive concerning shopping at Steinmart! Love their clothes and jewelry! Best discount store out there! You have to READ the signs as in the Red DOT clearance. It says UP TO 50% off - NOT 50% OFF. A lot of people don't read the signs nor read the coupons exemptions!”

“I have been a customer of Stein Mart for many years because of the high quality and prices. How ever I have seen such a drastic decline in the quality and styles and really cheap material. This is such a let down for me. I well be shopping else where :(”

“They put the wrong delivery address, UPS delivered to the wrong place, and they will not reissue the order or return payment until at least 30-35 days - poor online policy !”

“I ordered an item from Stein Mart online. One of my comfortable reasons to buy from Stein Mart was their "Money Back Guarantee" if not satisfied. I was offered 1)Return to a local Stein Mart store, or 2)Mail it back. I returned it to a local Stein Mart store. They only refunded 72% of the purchase price. DON'T BUY FROM STEIN MART or SteinMart.com unless you enjoy being lied to and cheated.”

“I visited Stein Mart on Fondren and Westheimer today. First I called to make sure that they had the dress in which I was interested. Fortunately, I got Jeniece Bealer. She located the dress I wanted to two colors and held the sizes for me until I could come in. After trying them on and making my selection, I asked a saleslady who was very busy working if she were Jeniece. She proceeded to help me to select two pairs of shoes and a scarf. Ms. Bealer has superb taste and I don't think I would have bought anything further without her. I shall definitely return to Stein Mart because of the superb taste and service that Jeniece provided for me. I was in a hurry because of a full work schedule and she got me what I wanted in record breaking time to my complete satisfaction. She is a major asset to Stein Mart and I hope she is recognized as such!”

“Stein Mart's clothes have really gone down in quality. They are nothing more than cheap junk. The items are hideous and poorly made and look like something the homeless wouldn't even want. When I was in the local Stein Mart, I was the only customer in the entire store! I can understand why. I won't bother to take the time to go there any more because I am not interested in purchasing crummy, dorky clothes.”

“Placed an order in August for an item. Not as the picture showed. Had to get a prepaid label from them. After several emails they finally sent one. Item was delivered two weeks ago. No refund in sight. Have a complaint in with Paypal yet still no refund. Do not order thru their website. This is my last time. Hope you enjoy ripping people off. For $25 you lost a lot of money from my future business.”

“When ordering online - the packaging was very damaged and one pair of boots were missing completely. Another pair was too small and the boot box as ripped. I sent them back. I only got $10.65 refund when I paid $44.95 (not including tax). ?? whatever their return policy is, it is NOT acceptable and their shipping department needs training on how the pack and prepare a shipment.”

“Clearance rack says 40percent off but if the price ends in a 2 it's not.How is the consumer suppose to know that? Also I got a blouse off the clearance rack clearly marked $4.74 and it came up $19.61. Three employees plus the manager gave me 3 different prices.Horrible customer service. I will never shop there again.”
