“Stevesie has been the perfect solution for my scraping needs. I'd initially spent hours trying to use both Octoparse and Parsehub, but after multiple messages exchanged with tech support, I found neither solution was even capable of scraping the data that I needed. Worse still, even if they were able to scrape the data, their systems were slow and cumbersome, and the price would quickly become unaffordable as I scaled my data collection. I had decided to build my own solution, but stumbled upon Stevesie.com. I was hesitant at first, as Stevesie doesn't utilize the typical "load a page and scrape" method that other sites use, but I gave their free software a try. Amazingly, there were already pre-built workflows that pulled all the data I needed. After a bit of testing, I signed up for a paid plan and couldn't be happier with the service.
I just wish I had found Stevesie before wasting hours upon hours trying to use other inferior products.
Cons: Could use more examples for learning purposes. Stevesie API could use a few more options (although it works really well and support has told me they're working on improvements).
Pros: Stevesie actually works and works really well. Support has been great and always willing to help. Everything is well documented (but does occasionally require some digging).
In summary, this is by far the best data scraping product available and at a reasonable price.”

As you mentioned, the traditional "load a page and scrape" technique is becoming less feasible as it relies on the presentation layers of websites which are becoming increasingly complex and often go through A/B testing, making it difficult to reliably scrape useful data at an efficient pace as you've experienced. Yes, a few integrations on there are experimental to say the least, but you can always "clone" them on the platform and make further changes if you see anything of specific interest. “This is a terrific tool. A one-of-a-kind. It's capable of many functions I haven't even begun to explore yet, but presently I've been using it to access the Spotify API to get playlist results with great success.
Regarding that subject, I would suggest a couple of improvements to the Spotify search function, namely (a) include the number of playlist followers (b) return the total number of results available for a query, so that the user can decide if they wish to attempt to download an entire dateset or not and (c) expand the search function to that you can search all playlists for the appearance of a certain artist i.e. so you can find out what playlists an artist appears on. Finally, a video tutorial on how to set up and use workflows would be essential, as at the moment I do not have the knowledge or confidence to attempt it yet, even though I want to, and this is putting me off upgrading.”
Thank you! Exactly - this one-of-a-kind capability is from the platform's generic design to work with any API, starting with Spotify as you've seen! Regarding your specific feedback, it looks like we may be able to provide these features already:
(a) You can get the follower count for any playlist using this: https://stevesie.com/apps/spotify-api/playlist
(b) When searching with https://stevesie.com/apps/spotify-api/search - you'll see the "total" number of results under the type of object returned, e.g. for the total number of playlists returned in a search, check the root collection under "playlists.total"
(c) The workflow feature can handle this for you by chaining together coordinated requests to Spotify (since Spotify doesn't return the playlist artist list in its search results). You'll want to set up a 2-stage workflow to first get all the playlist IDs for the artist you're interested in from search, then feed those IDs to a second workflow (similar to this: https://stevesie.com/apps/formulas/spotify-playlist-details-multiple-playlist-ids) that will look up the details for each playlist (which will have the follower count and list of artists). You can configure the workflow extractor to only include rows that match a specific artist, so your final result will be of all playlists with at least one track for that particular artist.
