I purchased a pair of Danner boots in the sale from Stuarts London. Unfortunately the boots were faulty, but I didn’t realise until after 7 months. Stuarts agreed the boots were faulty and offered a credit note. They were not able to replace and would not refund in cash. I believe this is a Trading Standards issue and I was very unhappy with the offer. I wanted a pair of Danner boots, not a credit note. I would not buy from Stuarts London again. Fortunately I contacted the manufacturer Danner in the USA and they couldn’t be better to deal with. They shipped brand new replacement boots to the UK. The support from Danner was fantastic.

Sent me the wrong size shoe. Out of stock of the size I ordered. Offered nothing to remedy the hassle.

Prompt service, but very disappointed to find a price label for £5.00 on the bottom of a tin of dubbin for which I was charged £9.00. I appreciate that there is sometimes a markup but 80% is excessive and I would not buy from this company again.

I have had a bad experience and will not shops with Stuart’s of London. I ordered size “large” which apparently is different from a US large. As a result I needed to do an exchange- at no point did the customer service reps express even a hint of sympathy from what was obviously frustrating- are British people different size? Why would I assume that?- then I had to send the items back to the UK to the tune of $40 and another shipment charge of $20 to get two of the three items sent back to me. The third item was not in stock. So I ended paying $60 in exchange shipping fees for about $150 in merchandise- absolutely absurd. And again the service reps expressed no sympathy for how undesirable of a situation that is

Disappointing first experience shopping here, I won’t be returning. Purchased an item and had to return as didn’t fit, I have been refunded less than what I paid. I had to pay nearly £10 to return the item to make sure it was tracked as per their advice. Contacted customer support and no response. Give me my money back please. Pathetic service and poor business practice

Absolutely shocking!!!! Ordered some puma trainers they were dispatched to another address, and on top of that they gave me a tracking number that had their items delivered four months ago. Never got the trainer's but got a full refund. However never again with Stuarts!!

Sent out the wrong item so this was a failed Christmas present then asked me to prove it wasn’t the right size. Customer service not great (especially given their mistake).

Never again. A long-standing customer, Stuart’s London treated me with contempt over an error on their website in which prices were shown ex-VAT with no indication that this was the case. I requested a free return on the very expensive boots I had bought, on the basis that they were over £60 more than advertised. Stuart’s refused to accept responsibility and told me my iPhone was at fault; however the website error was repeatable on two devices. I kept the boots since a fully insured return would have been prohibitively expensive, but I will not buy from them again. This has left me feeling aggrieved, and with a very bad taste in my mouth. Short-sighted, unprofessional and revealing a complete absence of class in customer relations.

Unfortunately I cannot review this item as Royal Mail still have the parcel in their Jubilee Mail Centre and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Is consider using a more reliable courier if I were you.

I was sent the wrong size shoes in accordance with the manufacturer’s own size guide. I then had to pay for return shipping, and was not given a full refund due to a “restocking fee”. Terrible company.

I complained days ago about this issue when my parcel was shipped. I strongly recommend you solve the custom duties payment. Most of the British sellers I have been shopping for in the last months apply pre-paid custom duties, I can give you many examples but for sure you know about them. Just for your information, I have paid 200€ on your online web and 90€ in addition to customs duties. You might imagine that this immediately removes you from my list for the next time if you keep this policy. I know maybe this is not under your responsibility but for a European buyer, this leaves you out of the market outside Britain. Thanks&Regards.

Pretty poor all round. Was sent a card holder which is too small to actually hold cards, yet the return process involved a string of emails. Still haven't had a refund.

Ordering and fulfillment is fine but if you are returning an item from the USA you will need to pay 39.95 usd in order to do so. Also if you received free shipping they will deduct it from your refund which in my case meant losing $65 usd because I needed to return my purchase.

Very disappointed. Ordered a jacket in black but was sent it in navy. Then when I asked to exchange for the jacket in black was just told it's sold out in your size. With no offer to refund the return postage. Very poor - Zero stars.

Awful service. Ordered on basis of 1-3 days delivery to Denmark. One week later and my parcel is nowhere to be found... waiting on my refund which seems like it won’t be easy to get either. Massively upset .

Avoid , avoid ,avoid !!! Fake , faulty damaged shoddy goods , and without the help of PayPal....good luck getting your money back. Needs an shopping ombudsmen to take a look at this lot.

Worst customer experience and service I've had in years, can NOT recommend! I wish this was only about the non-sufficient or customer-unfriendly information concerning taxes or customs. A pair of jeans stretched way more than usual after first washing - and I can say this with total confidence, because there was another pair of jeans from the same delivery, same size and same model with it in the washing mashine. While one pair stretched a little as expected, the other pair stretched three times as much and are now "baggy pants". Customer service blames it on the washing, altho the other pair was washed simultaneously and did not lo(o)se fit. I am now left with high-price product I cannot use and a customer service that is unable or unwilling to take responsibility. Literally worst customer service experience in the last couple of years.

Advertised as a xxl Size but posted a xl out, not return note enclosed and no reply to communication to try and return my item, very unhappy and will not be purchasing from them again
