Absolute scammers. Orlando office does not honor prepaid Expedia reservation and demands ten times of what was prepaid for rental that supposedly included all fees, taxes and charges. Stay away and complain to Florida AG

Expérience catastrophique avec Surprice. Nous avions réservé et payé une voiture pour 3 semaines. En raison d’un retard à l’arrivée, le véhicule n’était plus disponible pour nous. Aucune solution raisonnable ne nous a été proposée sur place, sauf un autre véhicule avec environ 800 euros de supplément, ce qui était inacceptable. Résultat, location perdue, voiture jamais utilisée, et aucun remboursement à ce jour. Selon mon expérience, ce fonctionnement est extrêmement défavorable au client. Il faut être très vigilant, vous pouvez perdre l’intégralité de votre réservation et de l’argent payé, même pour une location de plusieurs semaines. Je voyageais avec ma famille et 3 jeunes enfants, ce qui a rendu la situation encore plus pénible. Je déconseille fortement Surprice. Et leurs réponses automatiques c est vraiment un calvaires...

DO NOT USE!!! Absolutely the worst rental service I have ever experienced. I was charged over 400 euros for a dent that was actually a scratch and was less than 1.3 cm. This is a total scam since we didn’t get full coverage and they wanted to make money. Very unreasonable and would never use again!!!!

Disgusting service. I hired a car via the web site from Manchester for a week over Easter. Arrived to collect the car, one customer at a time was taken into the office, the man behind the desk used every reason not to let me leave without their insurance. I had the usual documentation accepted by all the other car rental companies in Manchester over the last 20 plus years. I was asked for my bank statement (unusual), utility bill, drivers license, passport and credit card. I was refused the car without their insurance because my French credit card said Mme, as in Mrs in French, the man didn’t know what that meant. I decided to leave not paying an extra £380 and went to green motion. They were happy with my documentation but had no free cars. Ended up in Avis with good service and my card was accepted. It seems the other car rental agencies know that Sur price are a huge problem. I’d like to know what can be done about these thieves ! Oh and when I went to leave their office the man wanted to bargain with me as if we were in a flee market suddenly the extra insurance change could be reduced to 320 from 380.

This company does accept third-party insurance with the following coverage: $100,000/$300,000 liability and $300,000 property damage. They informed me that they would hold a credit on your card ranging from $200 to $2,000, depending on the specifics of your insurance policy. This makes it clear that renters with adequate coverage can use their own insurance rather than purchasing Sunprice’s additional coverage.

Left us waiting at the airport for a shuttle for 80 minutes and then quadrupled the agreed upon price when we got there. We did NOT end up renting with them, Ubered back to the airport and rented from there,

I booked this via Priceline to pickup at Tampa airport. They are scammers, they tried charging me extra $200 for insurance. They don’t have a business in google that you can review.

Booked thru Priceline at Tampa Florida location -They Tried to upcharge me with their unreasonable and deceptive insurance practice at $83 a day for insurance which I already provided up to date . Said they won’t rent me the car unless I took their insurance . . Very incompetent service , Just to look into their eyes at the front desk and seeing no eye contact proved to me the deception/Scam happening .. needless to say I walked away and took an Uber .. contacted Priceline and informed them of all of this.. waiting on my refund that was pre-paid thru Priceline …

There were a ton of hidden fees. They did not tell me they were charging me daily for the Toll pass activation & insurance. I had already paid for insurance through Expedia but they just charged me anyway. I paid $293 in addition to my Expedia booking. I will never use them again.

Do not get a car rental here! I booked through Expedia for a fair price. Once I got there they made me pay double the amount for their insurance and tolls. I was misled. On top of that, they lied that the car smelled like smoke to fine me $700!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE IT IS A SCAM! If you do, make sure to have a camera inside! It was an awful experience. They are taking advantage of ppl!

Do not rent from this company, the cost doubled, I paid for Expedia for insurance and had my own insurance and company said I needed insurance at 50 dollars a day, charged 18.99 a day for tolls and cost of toll. They do not answer phone and mailbox is full. No invoice when returned car. Awful experience.

I had a very bad experience with SurPrice (dba RROA) in Orlando, Florida. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told I had to purchase their insurance even though I already had coverage. I increased my limits to meet what they said was required, but then they said the policy had to be active for at least 15 days—something that was never disclosed beforehand. In the end, I was effectively forced to buy their expensive insurance. A rental advertised at $179 ended up costing over $500. This felt very misleading and frustrating.

Picked up at Athens airport and taken to the car. Paperwork was easy and quick. On return google maps took us straight to their office. On return quick and easy drop off. Mini bus returned us to the airport. Very easy and efficient. Recommended.

I would strongly advise against renting from SurePrice Car Rental in Malta. During my rental period, there were extremely high winds reaching up to 100 km/h. Unfortunately, the front licence plate came off the vehicle. The plate holder was already in poor condition and not all of the clips were secure, but proving this to the company was nearly impossible. Despite the circumstances, they charged me an outrageous €508 for the lost front licence plate. On top of that, they added a €12 fine for driving without the licence plate — plus an additional €56 administration fee. The total charges were completely excessive and felt unreasonable. To make matters worse, the car itself was in very poor condition. It was an automatic, yet it would jerk and jump aggressively when changing gears, which made driving uncomfortable and concerning. The overall state of the vehicle did not meet acceptable rental standards. Customer service and communication were also very disappointing. It was extremely difficult to get clear responses, and the overall handling of the situation felt unfair and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible service at the Istanbul location. We were dropped in a deserted location to pick up the car we booked or similar, once there they told us its not available and tried to make us take whatever they had because Offcourse tired from the flight and in that situation you’d say yes to anything. When we refused and told them that we had a agreement and a booking they yelled at us, cancelled the booking then refused to drive us back to the airport.

We booked a vehicle two months in advance, yet on the very day of our arrival in Bergamo — while we were boarding our flight, and just TWO HOURS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED PICK-UP TIME — we received a WhatsApp message informing us that the vehicle we had reserved was not available. They had “run out of vans” and could not provide what we had fully booked and paid for. This left us in an extremely stressful situation: it was Saturday at 7:00 p.m., and we were forced to desperately search for a 9-seater van at the last minute in order to reach the Dolomites. The response from Surprice Mobility was simply: “I’m sorry, madam, I understand you, but I cannot help you.” That was after charging us €750 for the reservation and insurance. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking with this company at Bergamo Airport. I would not recommend Surprice Mobility to anyone.

Basically we hired a car through Car yet reviews before it were really good but somehow between booking and collecting the car it swapped to show price when we went to collect the car. It was absolutely covered in dents and scratches and one thing in another we took photos of we thought everything on the car, but when we went to return it, they claimed that there was damage to one of the tires And charged us £283 for one tire. We’re pretty sure that there was no damage there prior to collecting the car and basically where it was right at the bottom of the tire. Maybe someone else had done this damage but then they passed that cost onto the next person. The staff were extremely rude and aggressive and when I try to make a recording of what the chap was saying so I could query a payment with my credit card company he snatched my phone off me and deleted the recording that I’ve been making on my phone with threatening behaviour so avoid this car company altogether and use a more reputable one which will be cheaper for you in the long run.

Unfortunately, I rented a car in November 2025 at the Surprice station in Lisbon without first reading the bad reviews about this rental company. I say unfortunately because I witnessed those bad reviews firsthand. They made me pay €123 for a very small scratch (1cm) that they claim I made (I didn't) on a plastic hubcap on one of the car's wheels. The employee told me that, as far as he was concerned, he didn't consider it a defect, but that his boss forced them to charge for that type of defect, which, I repeat, I didn't even cause. It was a way of unfairly taking money from me for not having taken out comprehensive insurance. I felt robbed. I absolutely do not recommend booking cars at Surprice in Lisbon!
