What a scammy outfit. Thought I was getting an "amazing detail" at 5 euro/day. But "What's too good to be true" was definitely TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! When we returned the car, the employee looked and looked until he saw a scuff or blemish or whatever word can be used to describe a very minor scratch on the clear coat treatment on the car. You know the type of scratch that can be made to completely disappear with a 5 second rub with car polish. The charge from the SurPrice thieves for the scratch was 202 euros!!!!

Have been requesting a simple piece of information from this company for four weeks, they don't reply to emails and seem to be unable or unwilling or just incompetent about providing the detail needed to finalise an insurance claim. Why does it take so long to provide what a customer needs to get a GBP660 claim processed?

This rental service near Turin Airport is deceptive. It feels like being robbed in broad daylight. Despite booking a car, they refused to accept my credit card as it was labeled as a debit card, even though it clearly displays the Mastercard logo. They insisted I purchase their insurance, claiming I couldn't rent the car otherwise, and refused to refund the initial payment. Forced to adhere to their demands due to pre-planned holiday commitments, I had to pay for the full insurance. I advise avoiding this company; they are dishonest scammers.

Worst car rental experience ever. More than doubled fee when collected car, took over 2 hours to get car. Car itself almost completely undriveable. Given with very low tyre pressure, no tread on tyres and car shakes violently when it reaches 60 m/h. When you complain they ignore you.

Scam. Booked through easyJet. Location: Pisa airport. 2 reps at the rental desks. The queue had around 6 couples in it and it took 1hr to get my car. Very slow service. But the scam is this: They say British people with a UK licence MUST pay additional insurance unless they have an international driving licence. Just to be clear, this is not a 'pushy' sales tactic to pay for extra or unnecessary insurance. It is mandatory, or they will not rent you the car. Even if you have purchased any form of separate worldwide insurance cover, you have to pay for their cover at the rental desk or they will not rent you the car. This extra insurance typically works out at roughly EUR 50/day. Everyone in the queue complained hence it taking so long. Yes, when you go back and look at the small print on the voucher it says you must have your domestic driving licence, but there is an additional line saying if you are not in the EU (eg UK) you must have an international driving licence. It's obviously easy to miss because there are 2-3 pages of terms/conditions which people don't read or glance over, and obviously unexpected. But that's their hook, and what they refer to when you question it. However it doesn't say rental will be declined or what will be charged for extra insurance with it. It's a total rip off because whilst the initial rental price may be 5-10% cheaper than others, you end up paying double, triple, or 4 times as much for your rental because of the insurance. My 2 day rental (EUR 56) ended up costing EUR 100 more. The couple in front had to pay another EUR 180 EXTRA for their 4-day rental!. There are over 3,000 reviews on trust pilot with almost 90% 1-star negative. Granted, several of the positive reviews are for UK rentals, and perhaps not every Surprice rental office in Europe insists on the insurance cover, but certainly the case at Pisa airport. And in fairness the staff weren't rude and the car was good. But this 'international driving licence' catch for people with only a UK licence is a con. Other car rental companies say on their websites that UK licence holders only need their UK licence. Please also report to your booking agent with feedback (very damaging for easyJet to put this company forward as a provider for their 'additional services'.).

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. It’s a scam. They take 350 euro when you book that doesn’t go towards any cost of renting the actual car. They will tell you when you arrive that your drivers licenses aren’t international and you need to pay additional fees to take the car. I recommend spending the extra money and booking with a reliable well-known company. We ended up paying double in the end.

A car was booked at 22:00, we experienced a small delay and we arrived at 22:50 at the car rental Desk. While booking the car the flight number was inserted and even tried to call them several times to advise them that we will be delayed. As soon as we arrived at the Sur Price desk the employee started shouting that no cars were available and it's not his problem and pushed us out of the office to close and just left. Car was prepaid and paid on full. Stay away from this disaster company will never again use it. This will not stop here!

These people are thieves through and through. Nothing nice to say about this rogue company, so I wish to warn one and all to keep away. I returned a car to Catania airport in April with a couple of scuffs on the bumper. This happened as I was turning into the airport car rental drop off and I clipped a large pot plant. The scratches could have been fixed with a cut and polish. No structural damage of any kind. They charged me 750 euro for this as I hadn’t taken insurance. I doubt they will even fix the car it was so minimal. The guy who Ho assessed the car was so sleazy looking and laughed when he told me it would cost that much. I basically gave him the finger and walked off. Of course they have your deposit so the money was taken out. Don’t go near these pricks.

Perfect place to pay 3 times as much as you were supposed to and be ripped off. When we booked our car, our final price was 350 € (including insurance). When we came to pick up our car, we ended up paying 350+630€ insurance without any other options. They are scammers making their money not from repeat customers but from shady tactics and lies. Disgusting and disgraceful business

DO NOT RENT THEY ARE A RIPOFF!! booked on priceline for 126$ for the hole rental it ended up costing me 357.98 when it was all said and done. they will rob you blind!

PLEASE DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH SURPRICE! We rented a car in Bari, on 26th of March, online. We wanted to pick it up on 27th at the Airport, in the morning. In the email we received a phone number was listed to call and arrange the meeting with someone who would take us to the car. The phone number was disconnected and all the other numbers we could find online no one would pick up. We sent multiple emails and no one ever answered. As the reservation was made less than 30 hours before, we tried cancelling it, and that was the first time someone actually answered the email we sent and cancelled the reservation in the next 2 minutes, we lost all the money even though we tried everything and called them, sent them emails, and sent all the proof we could find that we tried all that we could. They responded to the next few emails but never refunded us even though it wasn’t our mistake. They said that we cancelled less than 48h before even though we made the reservation less than 48h before the pick up! PLEASE DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!

I rented a car in Bari (booking number B31858907) between January 29th and April 1st. Initially, I specifically requested a Smart car. I understand the concept of car groups and have rented cars in numerous countries before. However, upon arrival at the garage, I discovered that they had zero Smart cars available, which is essentially false advertising. While the website mentions Fiat Panda and similar cars, this wasn't the issue. The problem arises from being charged €194.38 without any prior notification or explanation. I did not sign any agreement nor was I informed about any additional charges. This appears to be an unauthorized charge and amounts to robbery.

Be ware this company steals your money, 250 euro charge for cleaning a seat!! and if you dont take insurasnce you ar ein for a big charge! we waited 4 hours to collec the car. this is a fraudster run by crooks.

If you are Canadian, do not rent from this company. They will not accept your Canadian car insurance and will charge you $62US per day. I booked from Holiday Cars.com - will never deal with either of these companies again. Buyer beware!

Absolutely appalling experience @ their London Heathrow branch, we turned up with the documentation summarised in their email only to be told “our policy changed” two weeks ago and that it was no longer fit for the purpose. After 3 hours trying to sort things out we went to a competitor and got a car with no problem! Never, never again. Ruined the start of what was meant to be a relaxing break.

Never rent a car here! In their policy they write that if you are 1 hour over the closing hours (10.00 p.m.) then you have to pay an additional charge as penalty. Our plane was delayed and we called them from the airport of departure in the afternoon. We also wrote them an email. We called the office at 10.45 p.m. to let them know we have arrived in Bari. Then we called them again and again but the lines were busy (it seems they have only one phone). Finally, after 10 minutes they answered the phone and told us that they would arrive soon. After 20 minutes the driver arrived and then after a 3-minute ride we eventually arrived at their office. They wanted to charge 70 euro for not being there in time. I think it was not our fault that they arrived after 28 minutes. They did it purposefully in order to charge extra money. There was an other couple arriving together with us. They didn't have to pay that penalty as they made them pay extra money for using Revolute.

it doesn't even deserve a one star. people working there have absolutely no shame. also their whole site is full of lies. i don't recommend it especially if you want to stay happy and satisfied (and if you don't want to lose your money)
