Worst customer service I have ever come across. No reply to emails. No communication whatsoever. Had to apply to PayPal for a refund and they did not reply to them either. Shocking behaviour for a major company. Luckily there are more companies who supply these types of products so they will get my business in future.

Read all reviews before you buy ; terrible service but they have a good bombard you with e mail offers service . Absolutely the worst service i have ever come across with an established company ,,,,, Ohhhh; refunds just don't happen when they say either,,

I ordered an advertised batch of summer flowers from Suttons, and have so far received absolutely nothing from them in return for my £10.99. I have emailed them three times now to ask when my order will be delivered, but have received nothing more than automated replies, and further automated marketing emails trying to entice me to buy even more from them. I don't think so!!!!! Absolutely pathetic service. No customer care whatsoever. Useless waste of my time and money. I'm still waiting for a reply, but nothing. Suttons now have my £10.99 but have sent me nothing in return. Criminal theft, and offering me no written excuse whatsoever.

I ordered 3 x bamboo cloches in May, they have never been delivered, it takes ages to get an email response and each time they say they will refund me when the goods come back, come back from where? They won't answer the phone so I guess this is how they get away with it and I just don't know what to do to recover the money..

AVOID ! Absolutely useless.Ordered 29/4 .Delivery put back until 31/5.Still not deld . Emails taking ages to get reply.I have told them to cancel and refund but reading reviews that is going to be a battle. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere .

The plug collection were all dead on arrival and had been in transit for 6 days. No response to a request for a refunf aftetwo emails and 19 days. I think they are dishonest - they are still pushing promotions and clearly don't have the ability to deliver good service. I would avoid them.

I will NEVER use this company again. Ordered hanging plants and new baskets for the arrival of plants in May 2021. Baskets arrived - still empty, as I have not yet received plants and now its the end of June. Response to my emails with only apologies bu t still no plants forthcoming. I would have thought that a prestigious company like Suttons would give better service - nil points. What a shambles. JUST REFUND MY MONEY PLEASE..

I ordered 3 cucumber plants. They were 6 days in transit. On arrival the pots were bone dry and the plants in very poor condition. 2 perished within 24 hours. 1 is struggling, but may be viable with care. I expected better from such a prominent market company. Very disappointed. Will not recommend them to anyone. Unfortunate that I have to give a rating of one star.

I also ordered their perennial collection from the Martin Lewis Moneysavingexpert email from April 28th I had problems from the start. It looked like they had taken money twice, so I had to ring. Then delay after delay starting on the 30th April, two days after placing the order! Finally after ringing again apparently there was a crop failure and the plants would arrive in July and I should have had an email! I took the refund except they did not refund the correct amount, I was £1 short so have emailed again. Only a pound I hear you say but the cynical me wonders if this has happened to many people. If so and the customers don't query it, that's free money to Suttons. So I too gave contacted MSE with my sorry story and will never buy from Suttons again

I ordered bamboo at the beginning of June, with 24h dispatch. Today is 25 June, still no sign of the plants. The website is still showing 24h dispatch period. Quick delivery is the only reason I chose this shop. No communication in the meanwhile. I'm very disappointed.

Ordered the perennial 72 plant plug deal offered on Martin Lewis monthly email on 28/04 and they said delivery by 31st May , they then emailed to say 11/06 due to poor weather and failed again to deliver . I phoned this week to be told 15 th July , no apology , frankly rude customer services and admitted I should have had an email confirming late delivery The original advert says the flowers will bloom all summer … July is almost the end of summer , shocking service and will contact Martin Lewis to advise not to recommend this company again !

DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY - They hand your details out to third part advertisers, I just received private medical adverts in the mail and it says at the bottom of the letter my information was provided to them by Suttons seeds, avoid this company like the plague unless you want old fashioned spam mail sent directly to your house. To add insultS to injury my actual suttons order took 2 months to bloody arrive

Bought a packet of beetroot seeds and they have come out as Swiss chard, emailed the company but got no reply, phoned them and put on hold repeatedly, no reply. Also bought a pack each of runner beans and mixed french beans, out of the two packets only 10 seeds have germinated! It’s the last time I’ll buy from Sutton’s .

Purchased four packets of seed tapes. Sown three times and results are, so far , two carrots and six radishes. No beetroots or parsnips. Total waste of money at £2.99 a packet. Contacted Sutton’s by email and absolutely no response. Will not be buying Sutton Seeds again. Very disappointed.

Need to do something about postage/packaging/delivery! Two orders now received with plants broken and completely damaged beyond saving. Also say “garden ready” but are tiny and still obviously too young to withstand postage.

Terrible service from Suttons I ordered "Best Value Perennial Collection" on 28th April this year and was told they would be dispatched and with me within 24 hours. After various emails(always at MY instigation and the last one resulting in an **Auto Acknowledgment** 10 days ago and never responded to properly ) promising " Product 200854 Best Value Perennial Collection Expected Dispatch Date Updated From 28/04/2021 To 07/05/2021" I eventually rang them today 22nd June and was told that there had been a "crop failure" with that product. Agreed to refund my payment through paypal. Absolutely terrible service and communication. definitely do NOT recommend

Absolutely awful customer service. The wrong items were sent to me. I have been in contact via email with Suttons and they typically respond every 7 or so days, always to tell me that they sent what I had ordered despite the invoice saying otherwise. I will now be claiming my £99.98 back through my credit card company (hopefully).

How I wish I had read these reviews before ordering...... 2nd April 3 Orders placed - Tumbling Toms arrived as expected however the expected date for Begonias passed with no communication 28th May I sent email asking for update 2nd June received email advising there is a delay and the plants will be sent in two batches with at least a week apart. I emailed same day saying this was unacceptable as the plants were being mixed and requested order for both be cancelled 4th June Your Refund has been Processed - this was for only one pack of Begonias 5th June I emailed explaining both orders were to be cancelled 7th June email receied Your Suttons Order Has Been Despatched 8th June I emailed saying do not send 9th June spoke to xxxxxxx in customer service department who advised nothing had been despatched, both orders had been cancelled and refund for both orders has been processed 12th June - pack of Begonias delivered, the internal box was so damaged and wet impossible to work out which ones they were! 12th June - emailed again and to date no response and no refund My advice is go to a garden centre

Personal recommendation - DON'T ORDER PARCELS FROM SUTTONS. Ordered a yuzu tree on the 21st February 2021. Was advised that the estimated delivery date for my plant would be April 8th 2021. The date came and went with no delivery. Chased delivery in early May and was advised it would be 7-10 days. Parcel was a no show. Chased again as they are clearly unable to deliver and asked for a refund. Response was "we are unable to offer you a refund as your order has been processed". No delivery notification and no date given for delivery. Mid June - parcel still is not delivered. I am still being declined a refund as my order is "processed" - except that their own terms and conditions as of the 17th June 2021 state the following: "Orders for perishable and personalised goods may be cancelled up to the point of delivery but not once delivery has been made." Plants = perishable goods. It appears (theory!!) that Suttons are attempting to delay giving refunds and then declining said refunds, based on the fact that they have delivered a perishable good. Appalling. Will never order from them again. Will continue chasing for a refund.
