“I really like the course. I only will say that sometimes is frustraiting that there is no option to take a class. For example this week there is nothing available”
“It shouldn’t be that much difficult to take/ participate in the workshops. And it’s weird that we have just 2h of workshops in a week. Although you don’t believe, we do the real practice in the workshops we participate. If we don’t take enough workshops, having lessons just means home studying and 1 hour oral exam. There must be more workshops, that we can participate easily. We shouldn’t get the answer “NO. It’s already full!””
“Die Kurse mit den Lehrern waren sehr abwechslungsreich, interessant und wirklich hilfreich. An dieser Stelle großes Lob an die Lehrer.
Die Lernplatform im Internet ist gut. Allerdings fand ich die Themen und die damit zusammenhängenden Vokabeln nicht gut. Das war teilweise sehr praxisfern. Mich interessiert in erster Linie nicht was bspw. Hummer auf französisch heißt. Hier wären Themen wie "bei der Arbeit", "typische Mailfloskeln", usw.”
“I am a native english speaker with no French background... the beginner classes were extremely difficult as the teachers would reluctantly speak english with us so we did not know what was being asked of us. I have since joined a class elsewhere and progressed much more rapidly with the teachers willingly engaging in english to ensure we understand what is required of us before then practicing our french. This class also happens to be 1/4 the price of what I paid for with Swiss French School.”
“The method is interesting but where I believe to receive real value is when attending the conversation classes. During the conversation classes I can meet and exchange with diversified people with different cultures.”
“I’m very happy with the school although the sign-up system/process is a bit difficult to navigate in terms of getting signed into all the courses you want (regardless of whether you sign up early or not). I feel like it would be easier to have students to this themselves that way if they can’t make it they can simply unregistered and other students would have to opportunity to signing up. Also, I think it would be nice to get some “homework” for some selected language level courses instead of only for the echange classes.”
“I enrolled to SFS specifically for the unique business model of flexible classes. However there are many issues:
- booking process is very problematic and complex
- different teachers deliver different level of in class experiece
- due to that, gaps in knowledge/topics/vocabulary appear during consolidation. I have personally failed a few classes just because a topic was not taught by another teacher
All in all, I would not continue with SFS if I were able to follow a regular teaching schedule.”
“No one told me that the lessons are mostly made of "computer programm" and there is not a lot of "front teaching" at all. I even told them that I am unhappy but as I have already signed the contract I wasn't able to stop the Programm and get some of my money back. Unfortunaltly I am really not happy with this school!”
