“I checked out Maui Jim to see if I could get replacement Maui Jim HT Green lenses for a pair of Canoes. The HT stands for High Transmission. Those lenses were no longer available. I was really set in getting lenses that I could wear on overcast or cloudy days.
After finding and ordering some Tajima Green lenses. I was contacted by one of their people to confirm my order. I was happy to find that the Tajima lenses that are closest to the Maui Jim HT Green is the Yellow Green 40 Silver Mirror.
They are a fine choice for low light days. Very happy with the product and the service.

There are two lens colors of ours that would be good options for you to choose from:
The Green 15 that you selected
This lens color will be a little bit darker than the ones that you have now as it's a 15% visible light transmission (how much light is let through the lens)
The Yellow Green 40 Silver Mirror
This is our closest and most similar lens color to the Maui Jim HT green lens, especially as a low light intentioned lens. This is our high light transmission lens that is ideal for overcast, low light, or flat light conditions. Ours will be a little bit more yellow than the Maui Jim HT green, and the visible light transmission is closer to 35-40%. Perhaps a bit lighter than the Maui Jim HT green lens.

“Had an old pair of MJ Kipahulu frames with a prior Rx and wanted to get new lenses. Found Tajima and decided to get it done. My current MJ K’s have the HCL Bronze lenses so I decided to go with a color for low light. Chose the green/yellow with silver coating. Couldn’t be happier. Process was great, price was good for the quality. I do a lot of fishing in all light conditions so I’m happy to finally have 2 pairs of top notch sun specs. I’ll be bringing both to Grand Bahama for some bonefishing in Nov 2026 and I’m excited to put them to use trying to see and catch the elusive Grey Ghost.”

After a horrible experience with Lensable, where I had to involve the Better Business Bureau to get my money back, I was super pleased with the service of Tajima.
The experience with Tajima started roughly, as The USPS box they sent me somehow ended up in Florida. Not Tajima's fault, but an US Post Office error. Tajima's customer service tracked down my frames, and let me know when they finally arrived at Tajima.
Once they had my frames, the lenses were made and I received the glasses in about 10 days..
I am very happy with their service.”

Drake, thanks for the feedback. Your Brown 15 Green Mirror lenses have one of our lowest Light Transmission levels at 11%, so they're built to handle serious glare on the water.
