“Hello Jacob and the Tajima direct team,
My sunglasses (Maui Jim Voyager frames) with the new Tajima lenses installed arrived yesterday, as promised. I have to say that they are beautiful to look at and even more beautiful to look through. They are absolutely stunning. The optical quality is perfect and I'm pretty sure that they are better than just about any I have ever seen or worn (other than Tajima). As you know, I have two other pair of sunglasses that you have done for me that are both still in service with optical quality and quality of workmanship just as good as this current pair. In the past I have gone with the Brown 15 black mirror color. With the current pair I wanted to switch things up a bit so I went with the Gray 15 Black mirror, which is of course is beautiful. Customer service is of course perfect/ flawless as is quality of workmanship, and communication throughout the process. Additionally, the turn-around time from me sending the frames in, to receiving the finished product in return was fast and easy. For anyone out there reading these reviews wondering whether you should try this, there is really no reason to be apprehensive about it. Just Do It, you will end up with the best glasses/ sunglasses you have ever had, and you will get all this for less than half the price of buying a new pair of sunglasses that aren't as good or nice as these. What's not to like?

“I knew within seconds of putting my new bifocal sunglasses on, even on a darker rainy evening, that they were perfect. The next morning in bright light, and every trip since, they're still glare-cutting and comfortable on my eyes. They've been great fly fishing glasses in changing conditions. Reader is dead-on for height and strength. Corrective lenses are in focus from 6 feet to as far as I can see. RX match. Lens color is as expected. I want to thank you for your patience and understanding in getting me the right lenses in my comfortable frames. Customer service is sometimes hard to come by, but you showed how it is done. “Lenses are sharp and clear. Unfortunately les than a month of having them and herdly wearing them, one of the lenses is already scuffed. I sent an email to Tajima in regards to this 4 business days ago and included a picture. I have not heard back from them. Considering the price paid - already scratched/scuffed as well as the lack of response from Tajima I am giving this a low rating.”
Hi Chris, we did reply to your email the very next day letting you know that what we saw in the photo looked like a smudge rather than a scratch, and that the lens just needed a good cleaning. We've followed up with you again since and are here to help further if you need. For context, our lenses are over 5x more scratch-resistant than the polycarbonate and nylon materials commonly used for polarized Rx lenses by most shops and brands.
