“I had ruined one of my Maui Jim lenses and was looking for a way to replace them. I thought I would give this site a try and I was very pleasantly surprised! The lenses are just as high quality as the ones I replaced.”
“The lenses are great, I bought the brown lens (non-mirror). I have tried some top brands like Kaenon, and Costa before so I knew what to expect. Tajima did not disappoint, I think the optical quality is better than Costa. The 15% VLT they offer is perfect for the beach/driving/fishing. I gave them a test driving and fishing on the beach for hours and I had zero eye fatigue and the visual clarity and contrast is excellent. After I arrived home I washed them with soap and water and dried them with the supplied cloth, they repelled the water nicely, which makes cleaning easier
As far as the process, I had to send my Von Zipper frames as they were not listed on their precut lens menu. Whole process took about 10 days all the way from Florida, with Thanksgiving in the middle. Fyi, I have had 2 or 3 sets of Fuse replacement lenses before in my frames, they are ok but they scratched easy and are of lesser optical quality. I do think these lenses are worth the premium price and I love the fact that I can keep using my favorite and only frames, which is also more sustainable. Only thing I wish, is that for the price they should have a better warranty like the Kaenon lenses, which is lifetime against manufacturer defects.”
