“I have a complex progressive prescription with retina damage in my right eye. I had been frustrated with the exorbitant costs of replacing my eyeglasses at local eye stores. When my eye doctors prescribed that I get polarized sunglasses to protect my eyes I was most apprehensive of spending the money. I had never tried shopping for eyeglasses on the web and was nervous about trying my luck. I came across Tajima Direct and a couple of other vendors with a plain google search. I sent a query to Tajima Direct using their submit form page. I was shocked to receive a voicemail and a follow up email within half an hour with very helpful answers to my questions. Steve helped me in picking out among my choice of frames from Maui Jim. Even before I placed an order and shipped off my frames to them, Steve ran off multiple models to determine the best options for my lenses. They also spent a lot of time on the phone and email exchanges to help me get my PD & SH measurements finalized. I loved the fact that picking lens treatments was so easy in that everybody gets everything for one one price. The entire process was extremely smooth and I was kept informed by either Steve or Jacob the whole way. I have just received my new sunglasses and I love them! I have never ever had anything close to this. I am so thrilled that I chose Tajima Direct for my sunglasses. I will use them for all my eyewear needs in the future. “I am beyond pleased with the prescription lenses that we installed in my frames. The turnaround time was quick and the product is fantastic. I had progressive sunglass lenses installed and it took a couple of days to get used to them (just like all my prescription progressives) but once I did I became so excited to have quality sunglasses at a great price. I got them for driving, but I find that I forget to take them off when I go into a store or work because they are so perfect that I forget that I have glasses on.”

“The clarity is superb. I’m getting used to them being lighter in weight. The only con is that the lenses seem to be a little looser than originals, I’m guessing this is because they are not quite as thick as the original glass lenses. For now very happy with Tajima lenses. Let’s see over time how scratch resistant these lenses really are, that will be the true test in my eyes..”
Jim, thanks for the review! You should be noticing better optical clarity and 5x more scratch resistance in the lenses compared to your original Maui Jim lenses.
