“We have a very small furnace/ water heater area so this size unit works nicely. Originally I installed a Bosch water star gas unit almost 20 years ago. It did fine until it started leaking last year. I searched for an electric unit as we have had two carbon monoxide alarms from the gas unit in a year. Not realizing that the house demand would require such a larger unit I had to upgrade my electrical panel. I was planning to do this already so it made sense that now was as good a time as any. It does take up to 40 seconds to bring the water up to temp but when it does be prepared. It has the potential to take your skin off. The controls are stupid simple, even I could figure it out. All in all I like the unit and if I get the same life span from it that I got from my Energy start I’ll be happy. Plus the price wasn’t terrible.”
