“The course was not very interactive, just blocks of text over and over again. I have done online courses before which have used pictures, video, almost like a slideshow type software to engage learners. I don't feel like I'm retaining any of the information as it was hard to concentrate on reading so much text at once. I could manage 1 module a day at most as it was so boring. Grading assignments was done slowly but I appreciate this takes time. There's also barely any content on online teaching, it's all very focused on classroom based teaching. I have done the course to teach from home - all online, and I feel very unprepared for my interviews etc.”

“I thought the course was well structured and a good base to start from. The admin support was punctual and on the ball as I had a couple of issues logging in. I didn't really need to use the TEFL teacher support much (twice I think) but the response was quick and helpful. From a practical perspective it may help other students in the more mature category (I'm 63) to know that I was ruled out of some contracts - China stops at 60 and one in Hong Kong set a maximum limit of 35. I'm currently tying to get an on-line teaching role as I can't travel this year.”
