“They started out good but then when I placed some orders for 1 item they sent me 4!! And charged me for them. Then I ordered 1 rug about a couple days later they sent another! I will never use them again and before they started this I bought a lot. Be careful it’s their way of scamming us!”
“It is fraud. They sold me ceramic bathroom accessories which turned out to be plastic. They advertised grill that turned out too be a sticker. They sold me green net that's turned out to be black and green. Free items where changed as well. Beware of Temu. My request for return is sitting there for the past 10-days.”
“They are such liars. They make you think your going to get free or discounted items but you don't. They just try to drain your bank account. Please don't fall for it”
“I buy quite a lot from TEMU and to be honest with you, I've had better luck with them than Amazon! It's not that difficult to determine whether an item is inferior or not on TEMU. Quite honestly - I've had bad luck with the big A because TWICE they sent me the wrong sized item!”
“I purchased 17 items to my surprise it was despatched in 5 delivers and I had to pay tax and custom 5 times which amounted more than double that I paid from temu. The items I purchased from temu is now cheaper if I bought locally.
Disappointed with temu”
“I was offered $130 in Temu credit, which sounded great at first. But when I tried to use it, I found out I had to spend at least $250 just to unlock it. That’s not a real deal—it’s just a trap to get you to spend more money. The offer is totally misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch. Be careful and read all the fine print before trusting their promotions.”
“I had purchased several products from Temu without any issues until a few weeks ago when a shipment arrived missing over half of my order. The shipping box was clearly marked with the quantity and weight. I informed Temu that my order was missing items and sent pictures for verification. However, they refused to issue a refund or send the remaining items that I had paid for.
Everything was fine until it wasn't. Temu is a rip-off, plain and simple!
P.S.
The order was for a 230 lb weight set that was supposed to consist of eight pieces:
- (2) 45 lb plates
- (2) 35 lb plates
- (2) 25 lb plates
- (2) 10 lb plates
What I actually received was a box labeled with a quantity of 6 pieces and a net weight of 45 kg (100 lbs):
- (2) 25 lb plates
- (2) 15 lb plates
- (2) 10 lb plates”
“I don't like the auto buy feature because I don't get the chance to study what I'm purchasing.
Also, when you have specials, discounts, percentage off & free shipping on some items, the items I would like to purchase are not on the list.
Your recent pop up of religious, black & education Tees are an interest (& I'm trying to get them all) but kitchen, pants/slacks, furniture, etc., are also in my mind.
Can I include items sitting in the cart on some of the discounts you offer?”
“I've been a Temu client for many years and have many problems returning some items. If I make a mistake, they ask at least 10 questions. I only want to get into my account and ask if it's okay to return some items, but it is impossible to do so.”
“I ordered a large amount from Temu, however, when I ordered one item they would send me 2 to 5 more of the same item. Their refund policy is ridiculous. I had a very difficult time getting a refund and the majority of the items.”
“They are just so bait and switch. Almost everything is misleading. Do not trust and description at face value. There are definitely some good deals on there, but I am tired of the false advertising and clicking on an item to see that the price was for a totally different version of it. No trust for them. Just got screwed over on a bogus one day shipping claim for a local item.”
“Everything everyone has said below is very true. And I may not be a computer genius, but these games they play are definitely not user-friendly. Confusing. Definitely tricks you into spending money you don’t intend. And be careful for the shipping costs. Sometimes it’s not worth purchasing the item.
Cost - you get what you pay for. Definitely read the description very carefully.”
