“despite being a pupil for nearly a year now, son hasnt got a regular slot, the instructor has possibly taken on more pupils than he has slots for, we have 10 hours in the pot for lessons and he is lucky to have a lesson more than once every 3 weeks. we tried using the online booking but the instructor was asking us not to do this. every time he does have a lesson it ends up being a refresher one. really unsatisfactory as son wants to learn.”

“They cancelled my lesson and then stole my money to the tune of £66. Customer services doesn’t respond and they don’t have a contact telephone. Awful company and legitimate thieves”

“I had Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) as my driving instructor. He was very encouraging and taught me all the skills needed to be a good driver. His teaching style was very helpful and we would go through any mistakes I have made along the drive to make sure I understand how to approach the situation differently next time.”

“I had Jesuthasan Rajkumar as my instructor. He is a knowledgeable instructor who helped me learn to drive at a pace comfortable for me. he was good at maintaining a calm atmosphere during the learning and when practising for the test. The AA driving school is not the cheapest however in my experience using it I found it to be worth the money.”

“Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) is an excellent driving instructor. Because of pandemic situation I was waiting long time to get a chance to book my driving test. Mr Raj help me to book the test and he provided excellent lessons to brush up my skills and confidence in a short period of time. I would say his main qualities are professionalism, excellence in communication and patience. Thank you so much Raj for your huge support you given to pass my test very quickly.”

“Absolute rubbish the driving instructor near answers his phone and it's weeks between lessons, please if you are thinking of getting an instructor for your child/yourself choose anyone over thses”

“At first, I thought that The AA Driving School was a brilliant choice for me; their booking service is rapid and flexible through their mobile app and website; however, it soon proved that convenience over experience proved to be a heartbreaking factor. In my first lesson, I felt proud to be a Student with AADS, my instructor was welcoming, and we went through the basics of a car and how to drive. Although I was nervous and overcame those fears in the first lesson, I enjoyed my first lesson and continued to work with the AADS. Unfortunately, my experience plunged, and I wasn't enjoying my lessons after getting on the main roads. There was always a conflict between myself and my instructor (who I won't name out of respect). I didn't feel confident in my ability to drive because he kept throwing me off about how I was doing something wrong; now, friends and family who've already passed their test told me that an instructor isn't there to exclaim that I was wrong. Instead, they are there to help and improve your skills; however, this wasn't the case. Sometimes he also jeopardised taking me back to the industrial estate, which seemed like he cared about the car rather than our safety after clamouring that I would "sabotage the car" after making a simple mistake. The AADS has truly broken my heart and ultimately yielded my ability to have confidence driving on the roads, I won't be choosing this company to learn with again, and I certainly won't be recommending the AADS to friends, family and colleagues. When I decided it would be best to learn with a different company, I told my instructor I wasn't interested in learning for the time being and in cancelling my driving test lesson booking. He followed my instructions; however, my account was also closed, so I couldn't request a refund for the 2 hours that the company stole from me. Worst experience ever! Don't choose the AADS if you want to have confidence on the road.”

“cant get refunds or hours that are owed , if you pay in advance - no direct contact available with instructors , the service is a joke , very bad PLEASE AVIOD”

“If your based in Newcastle upon tyne then lessons with David Gaul (sorry if that's spelt wrong) are worth the wait if he's fully booked, he got me from a nervous wreck to passing my test in 6 months learn something new every lesson and he's full of positivity, highly recommended him”

“Instructor cancelled twice, inquired about a refund, they said it would take 5 days. I've waited two weeks and still nothing. Contacted them again and now they're saying they can't find a record of the lessons so they can't refund me. Awful service.”

“I had Craig as my instructor, as a new instructor his lessons were at a reduced rate , but this did not impact his teaching ability. He is friendly and patient and put me at ease . He is thorough in his teaching and this sjows as I passed first time . Would definitely recommend him”

“Do not trust this driving school. I got my money stolen as I thought I did a pass plus course but I never received the certificate so I ended up been robbed roughly £200. When I asked for a refund, they ignored me. Not recommended”

“Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) the best instructor I could have asked for. I've been driving with my dad the last year so I lacked the basic foundations of driving and Raj was able to help me build that up two weeks within my first test. I passed the first time with only four minors when my biggest issue was checking the mirrors which could have been a serious fault. Looking forward to Raj helping me get onto the motorway in a few months.”

“For your sanity AVOID!! Instructors don't pitch, impossible to speak to a person. Difficult to get a refund. And the best yet... 'our system won't allow me to do a refund at the moment so you need to get back in touch to ask us again'”

“Faisal Anwar is a great instructor - I passed the practical test from the first try! I had lessons with 2 other instructors before him and they couldn't get me past my driving anxiety. Faisal's unique and calm approach made me feel comfortable with driving. I highly recommend him.”

“Very pleased with my instructor Jesuthasan Rajkumar can't recommend him enough, after trying and being disappointed with other 2 instructors finally found the right one. Raj is such a nice person I always felt relaxed during my lessons, even though I'm 8 months pregnant now he always reassured me that I can do it and he was right I've passed today my practical test on my first try. I can't thank him enough for making my dream come true to get my licence before I deliver my baby. Thank you Raj will miss my lessons with you!”

“Highly recommended AA driving school for building the foundational techniques to pass the driving test. Mark, my instructor was very skilled in articulating steps to build proper driving technique. The experience was calming, and learning felt easy and structured. With each lesson, I felt more and more confident to drive safely in UK roads. As a result, I passed! Then I took a few extra class to get used to UK Motorway driving with instructor Raj Jesudasan, he is very professional and friendly with his motorway driving teaching and still knows how to make the driving experience stress free. Taking lessons with Raj was a pleasure and worth it! Thanks AA.”

“Terrible and awful experience.Driver not turning up ,no reason,no notice given.Lessons cancelled just like that no reasons given no notice given. Worst of all no one to talk to. I will tell everyone I know to avoid booking lessons with BSM and sister company AA.”
