“It is the worst service I have ever received. I paid and registered for driving instructor courses with AA. In August 2021 I paid £395 as a front payment, then I started to pay £160 monthly for 10 months (total of £1995). I expected to start the driving lessons soon, however, they could not find a driving instructor near me ( this is what they said) and they asked me to pass the theory test first, which I did in December 2021. Then I started again chasing them up to start my lessons, but they kept procrastinating with different excuses every time. And literally I felt like they were trying to avoid my emails, every time diffrent advisor was answering me and I needed to explain my problem many times and they promised to sort it every time . Even I asked to speak with a manager, but never got through to a manager. After 10 months of patience، I decided to go to my bank to apply for indemnity claim. Once my bank contacted the AA, an advisor called me and she asked me to withdraw the indemnity claim and continue with the monthly payment if I want to complete the course. I refuse and asked to speak with a manager. Once I spoke with the manager, he promised me to get my money back after the indemnity claim, my bank managed to get me back £1600, I contacted the AA for the rest of the money (£395) but they still ignoring my emails. I registered for the course to improve my life as I am on minimum wage, even I used 2 weeks of my annual holiday to study for the theory test, I wasted my time and my money with the AA. And will keep chasing for the rest of the money.”

“I have just passed today, with Jesuthasan rajkumar (raj). AA driving school was really convenient as they had multiple instructors and were to appoint me to a instructor as soon as I needed as I was on a time crunch. if I could give more stars I would, my instructor helped me fix all my minor faults, serious faults and learn all my mistakes. He was also very thoughtful of my time, as I am university student and I work part time.”

“We tried to change the first appointment, but was told tough to late and didnt get offered any options, just told me to have a lovely day. £80 wasted and no lessons”

“Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) was my driving instructor. He really helped me to learn and correct my driving. Passed on first attempt. The way he explains and makes you learn is really what you would need on your test day. Can't thank him enough. I would totally recommend him for anyone who wants to get his driving license as soon as possible.”

“despite being a pupil for nearly a year now, son hasnt got a regular slot, the instructor has possibly taken on more pupils than he has slots for, we have 10 hours in the pot for lessons and he is lucky to have a lesson more than once every 3 weeks. we tried using the online booking but the instructor was asking us not to do this. every time he does have a lesson it ends up being a refresher one. really unsatisfactory as son wants to learn.”

“I had Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) as my driving instructor. He was very encouraging and taught me all the skills needed to be a good driver. His teaching style was very helpful and we would go through any mistakes I have made along the drive to make sure I understand how to approach the situation differently next time.”

“I had Jesuthasan Rajkumar as my instructor. He is a knowledgeable instructor who helped me learn to drive at a pace comfortable for me. he was good at maintaining a calm atmosphere during the learning and when practising for the test. The AA driving school is not the cheapest however in my experience using it I found it to be worth the money.”

“At first, I thought that The AA Driving School was a brilliant choice for me; their booking service is rapid and flexible through their mobile app and website; however, it soon proved that convenience over experience proved to be a heartbreaking factor. In my first lesson, I felt proud to be a Student with AADS, my instructor was welcoming, and we went through the basics of a car and how to drive. Although I was nervous and overcame those fears in the first lesson, I enjoyed my first lesson and continued to work with the AADS. Unfortunately, my experience plunged, and I wasn't enjoying my lessons after getting on the main roads. There was always a conflict between myself and my instructor (who I won't name out of respect). I didn't feel confident in my ability to drive because he kept throwing me off about how I was doing something wrong; now, friends and family who've already passed their test told me that an instructor isn't there to exclaim that I was wrong. Instead, they are there to help and improve your skills; however, this wasn't the case. Sometimes he also jeopardised taking me back to the industrial estate, which seemed like he cared about the car rather than our safety after clamouring that I would "sabotage the car" after making a simple mistake. The AADS has truly broken my heart and ultimately yielded my ability to have confidence driving on the roads, I won't be choosing this company to learn with again, and I certainly won't be recommending the AADS to friends, family and colleagues. When I decided it would be best to learn with a different company, I told my instructor I wasn't interested in learning for the time being and in cancelling my driving test lesson booking. He followed my instructions; however, my account was also closed, so I couldn't request a refund for the 2 hours that the company stole from me. Worst experience ever! Don't choose the AADS if you want to have confidence on the road.”

“If your based in Newcastle upon tyne then lessons with David Gaul (sorry if that's spelt wrong) are worth the wait if he's fully booked, he got me from a nervous wreck to passing my test in 6 months learn something new every lesson and he's full of positivity, highly recommended him”

“Instructor cancelled twice, inquired about a refund, they said it would take 5 days. I've waited two weeks and still nothing. Contacted them again and now they're saying they can't find a record of the lessons so they can't refund me. Awful service.”

“I had Craig as my instructor, as a new instructor his lessons were at a reduced rate , but this did not impact his teaching ability. He is friendly and patient and put me at ease . He is thorough in his teaching and this sjows as I passed first time . Would definitely recommend him”

“Do not trust this driving school. I got my money stolen as I thought I did a pass plus course but I never received the certificate so I ended up been robbed roughly £200. When I asked for a refund, they ignored me. Not recommended”

“Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) the best instructor I could have asked for. I've been driving with my dad the last year so I lacked the basic foundations of driving and Raj was able to help me build that up two weeks within my first test. I passed the first time with only four minors when my biggest issue was checking the mirrors which could have been a serious fault. Looking forward to Raj helping me get onto the motorway in a few months.”
