"Never really know how good insurance is until you make a claim but certainly the procurement was easy and the cover very good for the money. All done on the internet."

Renewal quote for 2nd year had an added € 157 charge. Went online and offered lower quote which salesteam would be matched by Renewal team. This after a lengthy period on hold wasn't matched. Beware when renewing with this company

AA abandoned car at services with key! My brother came to see me in London for the New Year, arriving on the 29th Dec, his clutch went luckily near my house so managed to get parked up. He called the AA and and they came to see the issue. They said it would need a tow but my brother lives up north and didn't have the correct cover to get a full tow. They gave him the site and code to sign up to the correct cover which he did and arranged a tow on New Years Day. The driver arrived, and said that it would take 8 hours and 3 driver switches to get them and the car home. I gave them my car so they could get on their way. The driver got to the first stop with the car at a services, called my brother and said he didn't have the correct cover and would cost £800 for the full tow. My brother has no choice now but to pay, but the car is still at the services 3 days later with the key on the wheel!! AA can't tell him when they will collect it. Disgusting!!

My 24 year old Son was 60 miles from home staying with his girlfriend when the wipers on his Renault Clio stopped working. Because the weather was pretty much rain across the whole region we told him to stay put and not attempt to return home. My wife is covered by the AA as she is the registered keeper of the car. After a call to AA she was informed that she was the only one covered and that they couldn’t assist our son. My wife’s policy is through NatWest bank and after reading through the policy it clearly states that the car was covered for any driver with my wife’s consent. My wife went to the bank immediately and was after a short time told that the policy was valid. My wife called the AA whilst there and the operator said after checking the policy it had been updated and she was covered. No explanation was given why she had to go through all this inconvenience. Now the AA were on the way to assist our Son and we thought he would be able to get home safely. AA were there within an hour but the mechanic basically told our son that he couldn’t fix the wipers and then went on to belittle him saying that the timing belt needed changing amongst other things he thought needed to be put right. This is the best bit !!! Because at that point it wasn’t raining where my son was the AA mechanic told him that the car could be driven but if it started to rain to pull over. We expected the car to be relayed home but how wrong we were. I cannot believe how from the outset AA just tried to get out of giving the service they promote. Very very angry and disappointed

My single parent daughter broke down in London today with her 4 year old daughter in car. The AA mechanic said it needed towing and that she should get a cab the 15 minute drive to her flat and he would tow the vehicle within 2 hours. Hours later he had not taken her car to her, did not call her and when we called the AA we were told it could take up to 48 hours to get a tow truck as he couldn't do it. We explained she also has a disability and we need to get a garage to repair the car a.s.a.p and more urgently she would get tickets from tomorrow or be towed away without her blue badge on car. We explained we are in our 70s my husband is disabled and we both have Covid so couldn't go to help her and live on other side of London. Also I've badly injured my back so can't even drive at the moment. The AA mechanic stopped her staying with the car when she could have and therefore the control centre said she was no longer a priority. He left the car with the key on the wheel and didn't even tell my daughter. We are extremely upset with the way this was handled after being with the AA for over 50 years.

Absolutely appalling service. My daughter and her family with a baby of 18months and a nephew of 12 were left 12 hrs to travel 50miles and were put in a priority zone. What a absolute joke and a disgusting disgrace my advice don't touch them a total waste of time we will be reporting this to the CEO.

Accidentally put unleaded fuel into my diesel car. I'm a key worker, full-time care assistant, so not paid masses of money and have to work hard for it. Leah from the AA organised a technician to come this week to drain the fuel from my car, remove the contaminated fuel, clean then repopulate with correct fuel and MOST importantly arrange for a deferred payment schedule till I have the funds. I've been with the AA for a total of 33 years, and they have NEVER let me down. I would recommend them to anyone on the planet.

Saturday afternoon 23rd December, my daughter and I broke down on the side of the A666 towards Bolton. My whole experience from the contact with the co-ordinator to the roadside assistance was exemplary. James from the Leeds division was exceptional, although he had already finished his shift for the day, he came to our rescue. He was super efficient and friendly, a credit to the service. Thank you AA for making my first breakdown less stressful than it could have been.

AA recovery service is great. I'm giving 1 star for the app. I can't even log in. I've changed my password even though I remembered my old password. I've had trouble with it the first time I installed it.

Came out, didn’t have any recovery trucks so was told to rebook for the following day. Was then told I’d have to be with the car for up to 6hrs to wait - the car’s broken down by the side of the road 15 miles from home, so an absolute waste of time!!

Jess was the name of the speaker, she was a very rude person who hung up on me and did not provide any options to my situation. She told me this is black and white with no sympathy nor leeway. She was dismissive in my asks and did not want to hear the reason why I’m calling. There is a thing called customer service and she failed miserable at embodying it. I hope AA will hire someone with more *basic consideration* instead of rudeness. Thank you.

I went for do a MOT, good welcoming by the receptionist but I’m very disappointed. If you don’t understand they try to cheat on you to make you spend money for nothing. They fail my MOT with lies, I didn’t understand why and I took the car to go to another garage paying again and passed the MOT without problem. Never again I will go to this AA centre in Dartford.

Joke of a service Been a member for over 25+yrs. I think I've called them out 4 times in that period. Just tried to cancel my membership auto renewal for £249 (last year price was £208.61) today. What a load of hassle, seems like a scam organization, keep putting the prices up and moving you up from silver to gold membership with out your approval. Once your in your in, no getting out easy. Tried the live chat AA AI bot, they pass you over to human, today her name was Amy, put forward my request then she cut me off. You have to ring them, I wonder why, the old customer retention scam, you must ring them and be met by a sales advisor who will probably offer a discount or match the price from another service, with the idea of you probably forget about it until the next time where you will be back to square one and have to do it again and again. You have been warned.

AA declined to recover my vehicle despite being assured by the patrol man that I was covered and that I need only call to arrange the recovery. I was provided with inaccurate information to my detriment. AA Ceo office investigating, but it has now been weeks and no further forward. The organisation has little integrity and deserve the bad publicity. I will be ditching them for good when my packaged bank account is due for renewal.

I normally prefer to fly AA and like it for it's on flight amenities and service but on a recent family trip the baggage handler WWE Rock bottom'd our luggage down the ramp and my poor Aunt's carry on got severely damaged and cracked upon retrieving our baggage at our destination.

Drivers are brilliant. Customer service and business model is woeful. The Complete reliance on a shoddy app when you've broken down in the middle of nowhere is a dreadful idea. Particularly when there's limited or no internet service. What is so wrong with being able to pick up the phone and talking to someone? It's a stressful enough situation as it is and you just need to hear a reassuring voice. The organisation will charge existing customers premium rates once your introductory offer has expired so you need to keep your eye on that. So much for customer loyalty. Sorry but I'll be taking my money elsewhere until they've considerably upped their game. 12TOI.
