The facial course I attended in Cambridge was very thorough and I felt confident carrying out the treatments very soon after. Our tutor was very encouraging and she made learning fun and interesting. I will definitely be attending more courses at The Beauty Academy in the future!

I've done my eyebrow/eyelash course in Kings Cross with Vicky. I can't wait to be there again for my make-up course. This is the best Academy!

These are excellent courses with full notes for each unit studied. The classes are kept small enabling thorough explanations, observation and understanding of each skill. The venues are perfect and the tutors are all really skilled, professional helpful and friendly. I loved my training which has enabled me to become a professional in the industry and I'm loving every minute.

I took the complete make up course back in January and i have to day that it was a total waste of money and time. The tutor was lovely, but i cannot say i have learned to do a proper make up on a client, the most disappointing thing was the eye make up. So sad that i paid lots of money for it and it was totally not worth it!

My only feedback is that I already work in the industry for Jan Marini, and since training with you, I have referred / recommended a lot of people to train with your academy (one person moved 5 X courses from another training company because of my recommendations), and when asking for something in return from yourselves ... Free course / general appreciation this was ignored. Small gratitude goes a long way ...

I did the NVQ2 Nail technician course in Manchester. I had done a similar (none NVQ) course with a different provider but was still lacking in confidence. After doing the training with The Beauty Academy I felt much more sure about how to do all types of manicures and extensions as well as some basic nail art. The instructors were helpful and kind and answered all of my many, many questions! I went away with enough practical skills to be able to practise on friends and family, and later to be able to charge clients for my work. The centre in Manchester was clean and there were plenty of supplies and equipment for everyone to use. The group was quite small too so the instructor could give everyone enough attention. The course wasn't cheap but if you are seriously committed to a career as a nail technician, I would recommend this course without a doubt.

Not enough time to practice on some of the courses and felt rushed. But have done a few courses and would use again but feel my skills need more development

I have done several courses at the beauty academy over the last few years and have really enjoyed learning with them. The teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable, the courses are well structured and the classrooms are well stocked and easy to train in. They are great for the novice and the experienced alike. I recommend anyone wanting to learn new skills, update their existing and add to their talents.....Kerrie

The training was ok. The make-up lesson was particularly disappointing for non-Caucasian students, as very little of the makeup could be used on them. Once you'd finished the course, you had to find all of your own models, who needed to be available on a weekday (X3) so that you could do your practical test. I just couldn't get people who a) wanted all of the treatments on a particular day (e.g. one was reluctant to have false lashes put on, but was ok for the other treatments) and b) who were free for an entire working day (most of the people I know are in full-time employment). I even offered to pay them for the day off, but in the end it was the combination of treatments that put them off. The literature that Beauty Academy post on their website, doesn't indicate that you will have to sort out your models and all of your cosmetics (including wax pots and thermal mitts). Although I scored in the late 80s and 90s (%) for all of my theory, I had to give up. If I do resume training again, it definitely won't be with the Beauty Academy.

I am from Jersey Channel Islands and I had to fly to Manchester to take The Complete Make-Up Artistry Course. During my time on the course I learned so much. My tutors were helpful and friendly, willing to say after hours to help us all achieve our best. I enjoyed meeting new people on the course and learning different techniques and how each person has their own style at doing make-up. I feel that I left the course a more confidant individual at doing makeup and I would definitely recommend The Beauty Academy to anyone looking to qualify in an area they want to excel in.
