“My experience of the Clinical Negligence Team has varied between very good to poor. At the outset of our claim contact was regular and informative. We felt reassured and confident with the team. When the consultant's report finally came through we came to the conclusion that our claim was not going to be successful, we were however persuaded to wait for more accurate timings of events and see whether in fact the claim was viable. Ever since then contact was almost non-existent and on contacting the team (usually by email) we received a response or a telephone message saying that we would be written to in more detail. My last exchange of emails was back in December 2013 when I was told we would hear from them by letter but that ultimately our claim had been unsuccessful but the letter would be sent with full details, we are now nearly into February and as yet no letter has been received. Whether a claim is successful or not this is very poor service.”
