I sent my ecm to PA by USPS 3 day priority mail, rom FL they rec'd it in 3 days over the weekend. They did not look at my ECM until Tuesday. They stated they got 50 ecm's in the mail on Monday. At that time I stated to replace it. It took ECUPRO until Thursday to ship out my ecm. They state on their website and the invoice it is Fedex 2 day Express. I did not get my ecm until late Tuesday, 6 days later. I took my car for a short ride on Wed. about 10 miles total, it seemed to work fine. The real proof will be tonight when I hve to drive 35 miles for groceries and back home. I am praying it does not stall, like it had been.

Reviewing prematurely just to get the warranty extension. Not sure if I’m going to need it yet or not. Received my ECU back and the cylinder #3 misfire was fixed but immediately after installation I have P0001 code for fuel system circuit open that I didn’t have before so I now have to take my car to a mechanic to get the fuel system tested before I can send my ECU back in for warranty repair. I will revise my review depending on the final outcome.

So far I suspect an intermittent internal fault with the DME and also determined the VVT module will need tested

Well, except for the length of time it took and the lack of communication, the experience was good. We sent in a customer's ECM for testing and to see if it was repairable. The website states a total turnaround time of 10 days maximum. However, it was more than 3 weeks before it was finally determined that the ECM was not repairable, we requested a new one (reman, programmed from the original one), and received it back (almost a month total). Our customer was NOT pleased that it took so long. When we received the replacement unit, it was layered thickly with dust, looked like it had been sitting unpackaged on a shelf somewhere for a couple of years. We had to clean the unit before we could take it and install it in our customer's truck. However, since it has been installed, it seems to be working properly so far. I had to constantly contact the company to get updates on the progress, and they were not always responsive. This was our first time using this company, and I'm not sure we will use them again unless the situation does not warrant needing the ECM repaired and/or replaced in a timely fashion. I used email AND telephone to communicate with the company. They sometimes responded within 24 hours, sometimes not at all. I wouldn't use this company if you are in a hurry for something.

So far so good. Have not yet received my ECU. But it is in shipping. I did not want to forget about this email or wait till I have the ECU to do my review as it said, I only had five days to get extra warranty

Left me confused. Sent a vidio showing key in hand not in ignition, showed DME mounted/plugged in, and sound of engine running. Nothing on the CAS? I have no key activity at all?

We don't know yet if the replacement DME works or not. Instructions for proper part selection are unclear. Unit turnaround was not as quick as advertised. Cost was way more than I was led to believe. Customer review system did not respond as expected. It took three (3) times to access the review system. I got the feeling that every shortcoming is viewed as the customers fault.

The parts and key fob I received took at least two weeks which is quite fast. The extra key fob I got made is functioning perfectly, and I was able to start my car and keep it running for couple of minutes before it unexpectedly shut down. Upon attempting to restart the car, it failed to start again, indicating that there might be another underlying issue. I am currently investigating the problem further in hopes that it is unrelated to the recently received parts, as I would prefer to avoid the inconvenience and expense of returning them and covering the shipping costs again.

Ecu pro answered all questions timely. They try to understand the problems beforehand to better serve. The product was delivered timely. My part however has not yet been installed, as I am traveling. I hope to have in the car and running within the next couple of weeks. I am confident that all will work well.

Four days to check ECU seems long, maybe you were busy? Twelve month warranty is standard I assume one driver was replaced, if there are two it would have been good to change both. A lifetime warranty would be nice at an extra charge.

Turn around time super fast so for that top marks. Unfortunately, after repair my warning light errors on my car remained. So it follows my problem was not FRM related. On inquiry I was told my FRM data was scrambled, and therefore warranted repair/reprogamming. I’m a little dissatisfied with the explanation as “scrambled” apparently didn’t cause any other problems with my car. Of course reprogramming may have corrected an error I didn’t know I had. Ah well I guess it’s not going to work out in all cases. Again… hat’s off for fast response time and being available over the phone.

Hey Brian, Typically the FRM fails due to software-related issues. By '"scrambled" the engineer referred to corrupt data on the FRM which is a typical issue on those units. If you still have errors on the car, send the fault codes to your support ticket and the technician will be able to advise on the best repair steps to follow. I hope this helps. Kind Regards, Ace

Ecu was very reasonable with their pricing and I received my dme back pretty quickly. But as my Indy mechanic installs it back in, my vehicle would start up and then turn off. My mechanic said that it’s having a hard time pairing with my key. I don’t know who to blame. We shall see what happens with my mechanic.
