“ang on to your money once you have booked and you have no hope of getting it back. I had to cancel a trip I’d longed for because I lost my job and obviously could not afford to continue. All I was continually quoted for 4 weeks of appealing was their terms and conditions, which they get you to read while you’re on the phone, but tell you afterwards you could have asked for a callback if you’d wanted more time! (they keep 50% of your payment when you give 90 days notice, but I had given 5 months) Their emails were condescending and they may as well just have written “Tough luck. You signed, we’ve got your money, you’re not getting it all back” No compassion, no gesture of goodwill - nothing. This is obviously how they manage to make a profit.”
