Horrible experience spent over 75 dollars ordering hatch products and both times the chilies arrived they was thawed out and spoiled . Definitely would not recommend ordering any products from hatch chilies .

As I have discussed in previous reviews, I paid $53 for overnight shipping and then waited many days to get my shipments. The frozen products had thawed completely and had to be replaced. This took additional days. I have asked repeatedly to be refunded at least the $53 dollars since it obviously gave me no beneift. However, I have been consistently stonewalled by your customer service department on my requests. Customer service blamed both me and UPS for the problem and never the Store. By the way, I note the frozen products were shipped from a location in California not from Hatch or anywhere in southern NM. Where are the chiles grown that are used in these products?

Your order was placed on a Thursday. Our website makes it clear that frozen orders are only shipped on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It also states that overnight shipping is from the time of shipping- not the time of ordering. When you notified us on Monday you had not received your order and wanted to cancel it, we tried to do that. It had already progressed too far into the system for us to stop it from shipping. When the order did ship, it was delayed by UPS. We did reship the product to you. Our website also makes it clear that our frozen items are distributed from two distribution centers. The products are grown and prepared here, but they are shipped to distribution centers to allow for ease of shipping to customers across the USA.

Even though the chile isn’t bad tasting, the chile isn’t anything close to being carefully roasted and “hand” preeled. The chile came chopped and frozen which is what I ordered but it was basically raw. The consistency isn’t soft as it would be if it was properly roasted. It was disappointing. I did speak with staff and they informed me that: “They had a bad season this past season and the consistency is due to that” and “they spoke to the owner and could not offer me anything and their decision is set in stone”. Won’t need anything from them again.

Pecans old, stale. Gave Daniel numbers off of the 6 packages and never heard back. Waste of money and was never offered a refund. Won't happen again.

0rdered some Hatch Green Chile Stew (5#), which was a new item . After receiving it about 3 months later I was appalled at the consistency of it and could only describe it as Green Mush as it was not a chunky stew but was more like a mashed paste. I talked to Daniel who said he was the manager about receiving a refund or credit in the Amount of about $82.00 and was told they don't credit food items even after me sending him pictures of the product that he requested. After 30 minutes of pleading my case to Daniel he offered me about $30.00 worth of jarred chile product in exchange. That was totally unacceptable to me but was refused a dollar for dollar exchange. I then disputed the charge with my credit card company as "not as presented or advertised"! I will no longer do business with The Hatch Chile Store.

The CHILE RELLENOs were not to my liking in the least. I deep fried them per direction took one bite and chucked that and the rest of my frozen order. The tamales. Nasty. All in the garbage

Hi Steve, FCC drop-ships their products for us so the delay in shipping your order was on their end, ironically. I see that your order was shipped out from their warehouse yesterday and is on the way :)

I ordered some of the hatch 575 and put it in for a 2 day delivery and didn’t receive it for over a week then when I called customer service nobody answered and nobody called back they only responded by email and keep saying there’s nothing we can do. As a business there’s always something you can do it’s only if you are willing to do anything. Love the product didn’t like the company probably will never order again.

I placed an order and received a confirmation the same day showing the my billing address and shipping address in North Carolina. The next day I received a shipping notice showing my address as the shipping address. I immediately notified the store that they had used the wrong address and was told that they would take care of it and would send the Chile to the N C address. Next I received the Chile at my address. Since then I have been told by email that nothing can be done about your mistake. I have called the store twice but have never received a return call. As last resort I called my credit card company and they are in the process of canceling the charge. I put your Chile in my freezer so if you want it back you can have it picked up here. I don’t have much use for medium Chile. William Gruber

I wanted to try your tamales this time since the rellenos are great. I’m sorry to say that they were tasteless with very little chicken in them. But your customer service is great and I will be ordering rellenos again.

I had purchased tamales from Hatch Chile Store last year and it was great. So I decided to order again. I was very disappointed. The tamales were so dry and lacked salt. It was a lot of money to pay to get nothing but disappointment. The shipping experience was great, they were still frozen when they arrived. But I think maybe the tamales had been frozen too long and maybe that's why they were so dry and crumbly. I doubt I will order again. The company contacted me and offered a discount on a future purchase. I will not buy these again and will not recommend them. I requested at least a partial refund instead and heard nothing but crickets after that.

I’m so sad that this order was never received. I placed it on December 2 and it finally shipped a week ago. It is stuck at the facility now. This was meant to be a gift for my dad.

Box arrived very damaged, asked for an exchange this is a gift, not risking compromise to family, was told no. Tried to return for refund, was told I'd have to pay for shipping. Not happy at all, will not order from this company again! Next step is filing complaint with PayPal for refund! In response: This was a gift order, as I said in my email when asking for an exchange, if I wouldn't risk it myself, I wouldn't risk my families health if there was even the slightest bit of compromise. The box was obviously banged and shifted a lot by the damage and openings. All I wanted was an exchange. Family happy I didn't chance it! Happy with my decision not to risk it. Unhappy your company wouldn't exchange! Lost possible future customers...

Though the shipping box was damaged, there was no evidence that the product inside was compromised in any way. We also advised that you could exchange the product if you paid for the return shipping, as we do not normally offer returns. The Hatch green chiles I received we small and unable to use for stuffing. Not at all like the pictures or what is shown on YouTube video.

Hi Cynthia, Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the chile. The chile was likely smaller this year because of our troubled crop. We had an intense heat wave and this led to all kinds of changes in the plant that we could not predict or control. More specifically, this led to a lot of the chile being smaller.
