“I ordered a personalised branding iron. Peter Helmsley was extremely helpful in advising me on the typeface. Delivery was when expected. The item was in my view rather pricey but I knew that when I ordered it, so not a complaint, it was my choice to buy. I am pleased with my purchase just need to practice with it.”

“Very good service and well laid out site. I would say however, that in my case, the crooked knife could have come with a safety and sharpening guidance sheet. That said, I will use the tool post again. All the best Ian”

Apologies that you did not receive the care note. We do have one that normally accompanies all knife shipments. However, it may be that we need to create one specific for the spoon knife as that is something of a special case. We're always happy to give care and sharpening advice over the phone if you feel the need for further help. Thanks for the review and my best regards.

“Excellent service. The order was delivered very quickly and efficiently with the courier confirming a one hour delivery slot. Although we haven't yet used the item, it does look good quality. We would be happy to order on your website again.”

“Very prompt service but postage and packing is expensive. Having said that you are advised very accurately when orders will be delivered and you can track the courier's progress on-line in real time. Beware - the prices on the website exclude VAT !!!”

Alan, thanks for your review. The best way to get vaue out of your shipping costs is to consolidate your purchases. It costs - and we charge - the same to ship anything from about half a kg up to 30 kg. Below that we are at the mercy of the Post Office - whose charges are no longer moderate, I'm afraid.
