“I was very unsure regarding the purchase of full face mask and head mounted filter system because of the costs incurred, and not having inspected the equipment myself. The arrival of the unit, a JSP Powercap active, did not instil confidence. A plastic container, the type usually associated with emulsion paint, arrived and, on opening, an apparently flimsy, flexible mask unit and associated charger etc. were revealed. Since then the mask has been in use in my dusty wood workshop. Though it was expensive, I now consider it worth every penny. The unit is well designed and balanced with a good field of view, and the reason for the apparently flimsy construction is now obvious, it is lightweight and comfortable. Up to now the design certainly seems fit for purpose. With a head mounted power-pack there are no cables to cause concern and, with overnight charging, I have yet to stop work because of a depleted battery. Inspection of the initially white pre-filters after a short period of use was a surprise. It was very clear to see just how much harmful dust I had previously inhaled. A light clean of the pre-filters whilst still mounted using a vacuum cleaner nozzle seems to extend the pre-filter life without causing damage, with replacements undertaken periodically. Minor comments, my glasses seldom need wiping now, no dust, and my coughing has all but stopped. The noise from the fan takes a bit of getting accustomed to, as does the cooling effect of the airflow, but this is to be expected, and a small price to pay for using the mask. For me – a good buy.”

“Living close by I tend to visit the shop in person. You have an amazing 'real' shop and should be very proud. I find the website quite difficult to navigate at times. As a beginner to wood turning I don't know the names of things and without that knowledge it can be more of a problem. Many of the pages have so much information on them it can be daunting. Great that you have the info, maybe it can be split up a little somehow. If it weren't for the in person visits I'm not sure I would have persevered (sp) with the website or just gone to another that is easier to use. So in summary. Great range of products unfortunately let down by the website. I hope you find this useful and take it in the way it is intended. Best of luck in developing things further”
