They do not allow to cancel orders. Apparently their system does not allow this. This is very inconvenient when you eg pay with PayPal. Whilst other retailers, when you are prompted to pay with PayPal, redirect you to confirm your order this is not the case with The Whitecompany. Once you have paid with PayPal, that's it! You placed the order! So it will be sent to the address that's in your PayPal account. This would not be a problem if I would order for myself but if I order a present for someone else I would rather have it sent straight to that person. I just don't understand why The Whitecompany is not repairing these online ordering issues. It seems not that difficult to fix.

Does not allow you to cancel orders!!! they said they could on the phone when I called then they emailed to say this wasn't the case. In that exact same email, they said they could redirect the delivery to a collection point where it could be returned and refunded if not collected. BUT when I phoned immediately after receiving the email, they said this wasn't true also. I paid extra for premium delivery, and now its being sent to someone else.

I bought the Burnham Mug less than a month ago - ironically with a GBP 15 voucher which I received to compensate for bad service before Christmas. I live alone and the mug has been used infrequently and I have been careful with it - it was not dropped etc. Today I made a cup of tea in the mug and boiling hot water gushed all over my kitchen surface from a crack in the base of the mug. I have not thrown the mug away yet - but it seriously confirms my suspicion that the quality of TWC's products has declined very badly.

I’ve been trying to locate a store that has a bed I’d like to buy, on display. The central customer service assistant on the phone was brilliant and helped me to find a nearby White Company store - but it’s still 50 miles from my home. He advised that I call them to check they have the particular item available to view. I’ve phoned multiple times but nobody ever answers. In the end I gave up and ordered the bed elsewhere.

Received two faulty botanical Xmas candles ! Customer services absolutely appalling! Not fit for purpose!! Please please avoid this company ! Trading standards certainly need to invesgate the company ! Prices are extortionate! Selling seconds !!! Please avoid

I received a gift for my baby and the dress was the wrong size for the season that we are in. They would not allow me to return the item for store credit; I could only return the item if I told the original “account holder” to do it for me. The point of a gift receipt is to anonymously return a gift so as to not hurt the gift giver’s feelings?? Terrible customer service with terrible return policy. Now I have a baby dress that will sit unused. I will say, I had 2 items from this company delivered for another baby of mine a few years ago, and they were some of my favorite pieces of all time. Just a shame that I can’t exchange this cute dress (which is linen, summery) for something equally adorable that we will actually be able to use this winter or in the right size for next summer.

I ordered Christmas tree lights, in the sale. When they arrived the box was open, the lights look like they had been used, and the plug was missing so I couldn't even test them. It is an insult, this is how they think of us as customer's.

A family member gifted me something from the White Company. It arrived in a huge box, with another big box inside of that one, plus a smaller gift box inside that! And a load of bubble wrap & tissue paper too. Totally unnecessary for the gorgeous beanie & wrist warmer set she sent me. Since when does wool need bubble wrap?! White Company sort your excess packaging out. Photos included so you can see the ridiculousness of it! I love the gift though.

I ordered a dressing gown for my husband’s Christmas. I did not receive it and called customer services twice, they were most unhelpful! Eventually I received a refund and £20 gift voucher. A couple of days later, the dressing gown was advertised at full price, when I was told they had problems with their warehouse. They are just incompetent, don’t order anything from them!!

I visited your Ringwood store on Monday upon entering your store, you are met with a clean tidy and lovely warm smell., to then be greeted by a very cheerful member of your staff who gave me some amazing present ideas , also ideas for myself I must say, you have a wonderful selection !!! Being of someone of the older generation, nothing was too much trouble for her. She made me feel very special so I would like this opportunity to say thank you to your staff member Rhianna I will certainly be recommending Ringwood branch to my friends and family after the wonderful service that I received from Rhianna

Received a wedding gift, which was an oven shaped heart dish for the oven. The product cracked in the oven immediately and white company refuse to exchange it without our receipt. We don’t have this as it’s a gift. It’s clearly white company, new season and is faulty. Terrible customer service

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my goods. I have never known such appalling service before when ordering online. I could go on and on, but I would only be saying the same as all the other people have experienced with their orders. Trading Standards need to know what is going on here.

Canceled part of my order then never refunded me. Said that I received the items I never received and refunded me for the items I actually did receive. After saying it was an IT issue, it's my word against theirs on what their system says was delivered. Conveniently for them it was a cheaper refund than what I was actually owed. DO not trust them with refunds.

After the first order was cancelled and a delay with refund, the second order was faulty. A replacement order can only be requested when they receive even though photos sent showing fault and they agreed it is a fault. No refund either. Another disappointing experience. I would definitely avoid shopping online The White Company is not what it used to be

Same as all the other comments- Product did not arrive- checked on tracking and it said processing, Day 9 still no delivery and tracking says order placed but now its not processing. Customer service says it will now be delivered or cancelled!! This story looks like its repeating itself over and over. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Order placed on 26th October is no longer showing as processing but item ordered Not sure what is going on with the order but was refused a refund as today is day 10 and the timeframe is 7-10 days for delivery even though it won’t be delivered today same day as order has not been processed or dispatched they still would not refund I would strongly advise to avoid online ordering

My diffuser broke after a short time , customer services were not interested at all and 70 pounds is nit cheap , but I thought better of this company so I’m disgusted at their customer services , I just hope people will read this and not waste your money ; iv been told Asda do a dupe one that’s fantastic so save your money go to Asda . The white company does not deserve loyal customers
