First of all - the description from measurements to condition is very accurate. Second they answer all the questions you ask patiently. For a buyer this is great when you are buying anything online. My experiences with them have been great.

Hi Pam, thanks for taking the time to leave a review and feedback! Part of the agreement with selling with us is that there is no back and forth with the sellers on the pricing. The curators' expertise is to also put the best price for the seller and buyer, and we want the best for both! We do have sales twice a year and that's when the prices will be discounted further!

A good mix of items but descriptions are not consistent. Fast customer response but there’s always an attitude. Very defensive and flippant at times.

I am a first-time buyer and am extremely disappointed with the customer service I recently received. Communication and follow-up was slow. I will taking my business to other resellers in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to review us, even if we are never happy to read that a customer is disappointed. Our understanding is that you purchased a pair of shoes from us on sale at 20% off and then asked to return your purchase, but our explicit policy is that sale items are not refundable or exchangeable. We also highlight our policy in large red all cap letters on every product page and also on the checkout page right above the button to confirm your order so it can't be missed. As the return request was through no fault of ours, we could also not justify making an exception since it would not be fair to our sellers who have agreed to further reduce their already unbeatable prices in exchange for a guaranteed sale (not to mention unfair to other buying customers). As a compromise, we offered to relist your item on the site to recover part if not all of your purchase cost, but you declined. We're sorry you feel disappointed but we stand by our handling of your request, even if we understand that it's not the outcome you may have been hoping for.

(: On your feedback on overseas import tax and customs duties, we do say that the price paid at the end does not include them, as we are not privy to the charges. Which is also the reason why we have taken it upon ourselves to cover the shipping costs overseas! (:

I was really disappointed with one item I purchased. It was listed as "pristine" condition but when I received the garment it is so stained and discoloured that I can not wear it. I understand it is made from white cotton but it should not be given that rating. I bought it in the sale and I understand I can't return it. I am unlikely to buy from you again because I don't trust your ratings.

Hi Catherine, thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear you feel disappointed with this piece. We try very hard to be completely transparent about the condition of each item. This includes using unedited pictured on the site with a powerful zoom function and a detailed written description that tries to capture all significant imperfections. To try to understand what might have gone wrong here, we had a look into your order and we'd like to understand a few things better: (a) your order consisted of 5 items of clothing, but your review only talks about 1 item, so presumably everything else was as promised? (b) the description of this item on our site explicitly states "Please note there are visible discolouration marks throughout"; is that something you saw before you purchased? And lastly, (c) we're known for our highly responsive customer service, we're wondering why you didn't simply reach out to our customer service about this issue first to see if we could help? We want our customers to be happy and treated fairly, and we would have loved the opportunity to discuss with you directly first and in good faith. As for your feedback on the taxes, we agree that they can be a hassle and we wish there were no taxes :) but unfortunately that's out of our control!

Hi Karolina, thank you for the feedback on our packaging. As it happens, we are in the midst of redesigning our packaging. Yay! But it's a very difficult thing on which to strike the right balance. Here's why: On one hand, yes, we are a luxury fashion platform, and everything about our website, our service and customer policies is designed to feel luxurious. I think we have succeeded at that, and your own comment acknowledges the quality of our customer service. But we are also a green business, turning luxury into the single most sustainable solution to the world's second biggest environmental problem, the fashion industry. This is important to us, and something we strive to continually build on. Packaging is where the most waste is created in our operations, so we have been moving away from our original luxury packaging (even if it was designed and sourced sustainably), and increasingly towards minimal packaging. This is not just what we want, we also get far more messages from our customers asking for less packaging than we do asking for more lavish packaging, since at the end of the day, the quality of the fashion item and the customer service around it matter much more. Not all businesses have the same priorities. In your case, your Chanel jacket was carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper from recycled sources and placed in a branded kraft paper bag made of 99% recycled materials. The goal of our packaging is not so much to impress quantitatively as it is to be qualitative and protect what matters within and minimize waste. But, stay tuned, the ambitious goal of our packaging redesign is to achieve near-zero waste and also turn it into a positive experience that we're sure you'll love. Thank for your continued support in the meantime!
