Hi, Noorani. Nerivio is a smartphone-controlled wearable neuromodulation device for the treatment of migraine. Through remote electrical neuromodulation (REN), Nerivio activates nerve fibers in the upper arm that are responsible for delivering pain messages to the brain. These messages trigger an analgesic mechanism in the brainstem (called conditioned pain modulation, or CPM), releasing neurotransmitters (serotonin and norepinephrine) directly to the migraine pain pathway in the brain to relieve the migraine attack. When used as directed, this process treats migraine in a safe and drug-free way.

Thanks for this feedback, Kimberly. As you continue with Nerivio, it’s important to start treatment early, set an intensity that is strong but comfortable, and complete the full 45-minute treatment. Based on our clinical studies and feedback from users, we recommend using Nerivio about 4-5 times to evaluate its efficacy for aborting your migraine attacks. If you have treated with Nerivio and have not experienced relief/freedom, you may administer additional treatments on the same day. Please consult with your healthcare professional if you have questions about your treatment approach.

“Nerivuo is a compliment to my other treatments and medications. I do notice if I skip preventative treatments I will start to get migraines but if I stay on track with my treatments if I do get a migraine it is very manageable. I have not had to use any rescue meds for 2 months while using the Nerivuo.”

Amazing! We're thrilled to hear about your Nerivio experience, Elizabeth. For migraine prevention, the most important thing is to pick a time that is convenient for you and stick to it. The Nerivio app also offers treatment reminders so you never miss a treatment. To turn on, go to the settings option within the Nerivio app where you may select the time. Be sure to have notifications for the Nerivio app turned on in the phone settings.

“The device has been really helpful..The intensity of migrain has drastically reduced progressively over time.Being a cronic migraine patient since childhood,I have used various medications which have proved to be futile.However this nerivio instrument has shown positive results and proved itself as a better substitute for medication in migraine.”

“I am only given this a three because I haven’t been using it for long but has not been hopeful as of yet. I feel like the amount of money you spend on something like this should let you continue where you left off even after 5 minutes, but unfortunately it does not but oh well. I feel like that’s a design flaw and it should be allowed to continue where you left off on a treatment if you don’t complete the whole 45 minutes.”

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback, Krystina. For effective results, each Nerivio treatment duration should be 45 minutes. Each session can be paused up to 3 times. If a treatment is not resumed within 5 minutes, it will be stopped automatically. When the treatment is resumed, the stimulation intensity will gradually increase to the level used before pausing the treatment. Thanks for letting us know. For migraine treatment: Based on our clinical studies and feedback from users, we recommend using Nerivio about 4-5 times to evaluate its efficacy for aborting your migraine attacks. This will allow you to get accustomed to using the device and app, set the intensity level to an optimal level, and experience the app's behavioral therapy feature - GIER. For migraine prevention: Our clinical trial shows that after 2 weeks of treating with Nerivio every other day, you can already benefit from a reduction in attack frequency. To experience a larger reduction in attack frequency, we recommend treating every other day for 8 weeks, which was shown to lead to a mean reduction of 4 migraine days per month.

“After using the device for the first time i felt some reduction in the massive migraine attack i had. The second time ive used it i used it twice in a row as the attack was again massive and debilitating. To my happiness the first session took the migraine down about five levels then using it again the migraine is barely noticeable. I am so deeply appreciative. Thank you! I did have to medication to keep me from vomiting .”

“I used it 4 times but the migraine didn't go. On the other hand the interval between migraines seems to be bigger with around 2 days”

“Product has been very helpful with pain control in most cases. The struggle to the device to pair correctly, or get it on the upper arm when neck pain is already high, or to get the app to actually consistently work when needed is a problem. At least 30% of the time either the app will not open and I have to restart my phone or the device will not pair.”

We're glad you've found relief with Nerivio and appreciate you sharing your feedback. Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot the Bluetooth connection: 1. Turn your phone off and back on. 2. Turn Bluetooth off and back on again in the settings menu. Do not try to pair the device from the Bluetooth menu. 3. Place the device next to the phone on a table. (If the device is on your arm please remove when connecting.) 4. Turn on the device by pushing the power button (green light will flash). 5. Open the Nerivio App on your phone. 6. Press the “Connect Nerivio” button. 7. Wait 10 seconds to see if the device automatically pairs or prompts you to pair for the first time. 8. If this does not work, please contact Nerivio Cares at 937-637-4846 for assistance.
