“Unfortunately it didn’t work well for me, I wanted to be a medium ashy blonde, but my hair came out orange. Had to end up buying a supermarket dye to cover it up.”

Hi Courtney, We highly recommend that all clients who want to lighten by two colour levels, or who are considering a lightening process (bleach was) contact our colourist before you colour. We recommend this at various touchpoints throughout the order process. “Am very pleased with great result of Torino Golden Blonde, as I had a dark blonde/auburn colour. Wanted a sunnier shade for our coming warmer weather. The colourist helped me with best way to use this lighter shade - It's fabulous. Also a much gentler dye than the supermarket one I used to use. Thank you Shade.”

“I don't usually colour my own hair but, when lockdown forces your hand, I wouldn't use any other product than The Shade. Everything about it leads to a positive experience. From the easy to use website, excellent customer service, flexibility in delivery schedules that never ties you down and, most importantly, to the amazing product. The website assists tremendously to colour choice and you have the option to chat with a colour consultant if you wish. The product application instructions are well explained. There are no nasty chemical smells that you get with other brands and there are small sachets of a product that helps prevent any colour remaining on your skin. The shampoo and conditioner are fabulous and I have purchased full sized bottles of each of these to use regularly.”

“Having never done my hair at home before and having read such good things about The Shade, I decided to take the plunge. Honestly, it has been the best thing I have done for my hair! “I dyed my hair two weeks ago now but I was ready to write a review before I had even put the stuff on my hair to be fair. It’s beautifully package, everything in the first package is amazing value for money & smells amazing. After 2 weeks the colour has stuck (even hairdresser colours seem to fade off my hair after 2 weeks) & I love how the colour has settled in. I definitely think I’ll be subscribed for a while to come!”

Hi Alex, If your colour result was darker, that could only be because you either had darker colour pigments in your hair before colouring from previous colour, or your natural colour was more than two levels darker than level 6, as our colour can lift by two levels only.
