“I have been using THE SHADE for about 2 years now and I LOVE it. Occasionally if I am travelling and I have forgotten my little square box, I will buy a kit from the chemist... and I always regret it. Even the other Italian "organic" brand makes my scalp HURT. THE SHADE NEVER hurts and the colours are lovely. I do change it up now and again and the colourist checklist and support are always great. I love how simple and effective the subscription is, just set and forget... it arrives and I dye my hair again. Before THE SHADE I was going *weeks* between dyes because I would not get to the shop or forget until late that night... now I can always have nice hair colour... and if I need more, I just order another one in between my regular delivery. If you are thinking about it, just give it a go... you won't regret it. BY FAR the best at-home hair dye I have ever used. It is also better for my scalp than the in salon ones.”

“Love the concept of buying online, thought the colour selection process was great, packaging and time to receive via post also great. Got my husband to help applying product and we followed instructions with no concerns. The colour I selected was 'Roma' and of the understanding this would achieve a golden brown colour. The outcome was alot darker and more red in colour, disappointing as wanted to stay close my nature colour. Not sure how I feel about the overall experience. I would definitely talk about it with friends (have to because of the big difference in colour of my hair) but would say be weary of colour selection outcomes.”

All warm colours do include red tones in the base of the secondary tone, which is why our colourists ask not only what tones do you want to see in your hair, but also what tones you don't want to see in your hair. Also, warm tones absorb light and they do look darker than their technical colour level (cool tones reflect light and look lighter than their technical colour level). So a colour level which is the same as your natural colour, but which has warm tones, will look darker. “After years of using awful packet hair color and my hair feeling like straw for days after The Shade is honestly a God send! Not only convenient that it ships on a regular basis to my door, the smell doesn't give you a headache and hardly stains the hairline. Having black hair I can say goodbye to wearing headbands and hats a week after dying my hair till the stain wears off! Thank you for this product it truly is amazing!”

“This is the first time I’ve used a home colouring kit. I am tired of spending a fortune on salon charges. “Great product! It's a bit daunting buying hair colour on the internet for obvious reasons but I don't have time (or honestly the patience) to sit in a chair. My last hair (foils) took 4 hrs. I opted for Chocolate Blonde which in my hair came out as a dark red which is a fun colour. I loved the dramatic change. I've included photos these were taken under the heat lamp so show the end result as closer to how it looked in real life. The last photo was in average bathroom lighting. It covered my greys and is lasting really well considering I wash my hair everyday. The colour has faded into more of a soft brown which is nice. Definitely will buy again - to have new hair at home in 35 minutes is fantastic. The packaging and product is great and the conditioner that came with it is amazing so will have to buy that too!”

“I absolutely love this product, as well as thw great colour range and the ease and simplicity of colouring my own hair, no drip, no smell, everything you need in the kit. My hair ALWAYS is complimented on once done. All of this is huge in itself, however the other big benefit is the savings I have made by not having my hair coloured at the hairdresser. No waiting around. To be honest for this product I would give 100000+out of ten. I am currently using Chocolate Blonde brilliant. Have never had one negative comment, or thought from your fantastic product. Hair always looks great. And the fact you can pause your repeat delivery then restart. What can I say but thank you 😊 💕”

“I received the bleach and a colour. Last night I bleached my hair to get rid of the current colour, followed instructions, left it for the required time, and then washed it off. The bleach hardly got rid of any of the colour, so it is likely a waste of time even putting in the new lighter colour. I will attempt this tomorrow - after the required 48 hours, and see how I get on.”
