“Love The Shade! The colour is lovely - no chemical smell and no itch. Love the starter pack too! Shampoo and conditioner are fabulous. I wasn't sure how it would work on my hair as it was very 'COVID'! I hadn't been to the hairdresser for 6-7 months for a colour and the roots were very grey - a mixture of colours - and the ends were, still are, very bleached. Photo of before with hair up showing the colour demarcations! I chose the very light ash blonde and it was probably a bit light but the developer worked well to open up the greys. Everyone loved the colour. Six weeks on and it is even lovelier. Looking forward to receiving my next order in the next few days. I am going to leave the colour on longer this time. Great experience. Delivery was longer than expected but it is COVD times so that's to be expected as I'm in Sydney and The Shade is in Victoria:-). Highly recommend the product and the service.”

“Best home kit Ive ever used. I was going to stop dyeing my hair and let it go grey as coverage wasn't lasting and my hair wasn't coping with the chemicals. I decided to try the shades free trial and I couldn't be happier. Friends commented that my hair looked like it did in high school and I had to agree! No yucky chemical after smell and the product portions are generous. I am so glad to have discovered this, my hair is loving the results and Im getting salon coverage at home and for the fraction of the price! Best colour shade Ive ever used to.”

“Not suitable for allergy sufferers contains PTD which has a high allergy risk, I purchased this not realising it contained PTD and it was advertised as being a low allergy risk, I did a skin test and had a reaction within 1hour a week later I still have a sever rash and skin swelling where I tested this product.”

Hi Ashleigh, I'm sorry you had an allergic reaction, and I'm pleased you performed an allergy alert test. Our colour uses PTD—Toluene 2,5-Diamine Sulfate (TDS), an ingredient that effectively replaces PPD in permanent hair color while offering a lower incidence of skin sensitivities. Studies show that more than half of users who are allergic to PPD did not experience any adverse effects to products using a PTD substitute. However, as the ingredients are chemically similar, it is possible for users who are allergic to PPD to experience some irritation when using a color with PTD. Wishing you all the best! Hi Kylie, We don't use Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) in our products. We use Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate in our shampoo. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate both have the same initials, but that's where the similarities end. Our shampoo is SLS-free. I hope this helps!

“I'm genuinely surprised at how well this worked. I had been hearing adds for similar products, so I decided to give it a try. I read other reviews and got a colour lighter than was recommended. The little pack and colouring process was a lot more luxurious feeling than other box colour. The process was painless and easy. I was quite impressed with the colour. It matched my own hair perfectly, and hasn't transferred onto anything. I also noticed it didn't patch on my scalp or look blocky and monotonal like what I had previously used. I think my only drawback was that my ends did feel a bit dry, but I have very long hair and use specific products to treat it, so the provided shampoo and conditioner may not have been up to the task. I also wish the sample pictures of the colours weren't the same woman with the colour photoshopped onto her. Overall, I am very happy with the colour and will purchase again :)”
