Just had an awful experience at Timpson in Cleveleys and wanted to share to avoid others wasting their time. Went to get my mum's key cut. Had to take it back 3 times as it did not work. No apology the guy just told me he was the manager with 6 year's experience as if that made a difference when the key didn't work. He just threw £10 at me and said 'Have a refund darlin'. So rude. I went to the key cutters opposite the library in Fleetwood and they did it first time so it wasn't me or the key. I would suggest avoiding Timpson on Victoria Road if you want the job done right first time the key cutter in Fleetwood is Fantastic!

My daughter took her phone in for a replacment battery at timpsons in the mall cribbs causeway and the store managed to damage her screen. 3 visits later and a whole load of lies from the three staff members there and the screen was replaced but the way we have been treated has left a very poor view of timpsons.

Visited Timpsons in the Morrison's car park in Llanishen in Cardiff North. The professional and friendly advice from "Shane" was extremely helpful and very clearly communicated. I believe the gentleman is also known by his nickname as "Captain Cod," I would highly recommend this person and his business. Thank you.

Went to your store inside Sainsbury Chelmsford to get a key cut and was charged £7, when we tried it when we got back it went in the lock but would not turn, rather than go all the way back to Chelmsford took it to the store at Tesco Braintree, the guy put the same key back on the machine and said it would be fine, surprise surprise, I have another trip back to the store today as it still will not turn in the lock, maybe it will be third time lucky but I will not hold my breath.

I have used timpsons in Piccadilly London in many occasions and I have never been disappointed with the service I receive The guys who work there are friendly always smiling when I walk in and more importantly very helpful and professional I just had a watch battery and a set of keys cut and although I had a issue with the keys the guys in store quickly remedied the problem with a new set with no hesitation and couldn’t apologise enough for the inconvenience it had caused me I wouldn’t go anywhere else to be honest fabulous service and customer liaisons every day no matter what time it is Also James who works in this store really is a top man and a asset to timpsons Expert on watch straps and batteries and a gets the job done quickly with no problem even when I’m in a rush he always goes above and beyond to deliver his fantastic service to us the public So a massive thank you to him Morris Cole

Tring Rd, Aylesbury Took (fully operational) phone in to have screen replaced - when I went to pick it up was told that it would no longer turn on and this was probably due to underlying issues since the screen cracked. Was also informed it should now be sent off to their tech department to look into the problem further - would take about 7 days. I suggested maybe it was just the battery had run down * but was assured no as he had tried to recharge it. Took phone home, plugged it in just to see and it came on straight away. I am hoping the above was due to the persons incompetency rather that a way of extracting more money from me * The battery was fully charged when I took it in so what the person did on my phone to run it all the way down is quite a sobering thought . Hope he found it interesting .

I would like to share my experience with Liam on 25/01/2020 @ 13:00 at your Asda Coventry, Walsgrave store. I went in with my wife to get her watch battery replaced thinking that we can get a positive experience. Right away though the colleague was not helpful in explaining the price, nor was he friendly at all. As soon as he had replaced the battery, his attitude was focused on getting the payment completed. We thought to inspect the work for our own comfort but he was huffing as if he had a massive queue. The store was empty , so there no other customers he was serving. I had enquired about my car keys and instead of explaining the method on how it would be done, he was being rude and was treating me like a 5 year old child by repeating his words on a harsher tone. I have to say this has been my worst experience ever with Timpsons!

So I go into the Ramsgate branch to keys cut and the guy moaned the whole way through stating it was his lunch break and shouldn’t be working, I asked him why he hadn’t shut the door and apparently his not allowed to shut the door until 5-30 which I find shocking, so not only does your employee have to stand outside the shop for his break it’s still disturbed as his not allowed to shut the door, so even going to the toilet the door stays open, I don’t know if you as a company think this is fair, not only do you have to take a loan out to get your keys cut you have to listen to someone who really wasn’t happy complaining, and I think he has every right to do so it’s absolutely disgusting that he cannot have a correct break in a whole day, just to suit business needs surely your employees are important??? You need to be able to shut the door with a sign saying that you are CLOSED for 30 mins so your employees can refuel and have a break

We needed a series of a4 photos printed. When I opened them, they were too dark. Half of them were fit for the bin. We had quite a bit of friction but the company did admit liability and offered to put anything right in the end. While I would struggle to use their services for photos again, but I do accept that things do go wrong from time to time.

I visited their Selborne Walk Walthamstow E17 branch to get a replacement battery for my G10 watch and was quoted the ridiculous price of £18.45 for such a small item,i know this as i went to a small store named Tick Tock in Stamford Hill N16 and was charged only £5. The manager for Timpsons whom i was in communication with thinks it is acceptable to charge this price and says it is correct. Guess which place of business will be getting my custom in future.

My Dad passed away on 3rd December 2019. I went into Timpson, Cannon Park, Coventry and was served by Austin. I chose a gold plated plaque for the base of a framed photo of my Dad (to sit on top of his coffin). I chose 4 lines of engraving and to my complete surprise Austin said he wouldn’t charge me for the plaque nor engraving. After such a traumatic month I found this very moving and it rendered me speechless. The plaque was ready within 15 minutes and looks perfect on the frame. What a kind gesture.

I’ve just purchased a pair of heel grips. Last week I purchased a pair from Clark’s at £1.30. Today I have paid £3.95 at Timpsons, Sainsbury’s at Farlington. Could someone explain why a basic pair of heel grips warrant them to be over 100% more in price. Timpson prices are scandalous!! Won’t ever be returning to Timpsons.

I went into Timpson in morrisons, Gamston to get my metal watch bracelet adjusted and they wanted £22 to remove 4 links!! I ended up going to a really nice clock shop in Ruddington and they charged me £5. I also had a handle sewn on my handbag the week before and it cost £12.50 for a 2 minute job.

Totally disgusted after taking my coat into Timpsons [Sainsburys - Brookwood] and when I got it back it was totally covered in white marks in several places. It looks as though it's also been burnt in certain areas. The Timpson member of staff admitted that the garment was damaged during the clean and it wasn't in that condition when I took it in. I was offered a complimentary re-clean. Following the re-clean, the coat was in fact worse!!! At this point, I was rudely told to "check it out at home" due to poor lighting in the store, I was adamant that we both looked at the coat together, and he admitted that the damage is irreparable and I should contact Head Office to seek compensation for the damage caused.
