“Curtains took a long time to arrive. Received numerous emails so got totally confused. Curtains were wrong size but wouldn't have kept as very poor quality.”

“I thought that the communication was very good and gave realistic updates. One of the items I ordered was not available in the end and I received regular updates and the delivery tracking was very useful.”

“Ordered 3 items for click and collect - which i hoped would be delivered together to save me 2 journeys. No such luck the first parcel was ready within a week of ordering, I didn't pick it up straight away hoping the second parcel would arrive. Eventually i picked the first parcel up, after almost 3 weeks still no sign of the second parcel I emailed customer services and the parcel was available the next day, it had been in store all the time. Besides the above, the website was easy to use, items were what were ordered, but think I would get them delivered next time. Also, I would prefer to wait for a few days and get one parcel with all the items, rather than received separate parcels.”

“The air fryer that I purchased is brilliant. From chips, fish to chicken and watever food is cooked perfectly. It's so easy to use that even my kids can cook what they want in it. One of the best purchases of last year.”

“After waiting a few weeks for delivery the packaging looked like it had been run over, everything had been opened inside was not happy at all as they wer gifts for people.”

“The website alongside the collection process in store was effective and very personal. I received notification of date of collection. The staff at the store were efficient and friendly. I have since recommended the website and the in store shopping at TJs as a very good experience, and that there is an extensive range of products. I am a very satisfied customer.”

“Had to chase for delivery before Christmas only part of the order delivered still awaiting balance.Have been told the item has now gone out of stock.Still awaiting reply to e-mail to when the item will be back in stock”

“After ordering online, I was contacted a week later so be told I wouldn't be receiving the pie face showdown game I ordered to my address. I was told I had to collect in store. I was told I would be refunded the postage. When I went to collect the game it was the incorrect one (pieface original) not the showdown one I had ordered. I was then told by the manager that she couldn't refund in store. I had found the showdown game in store and asked to swap which she said she couldn't. The game was a present for my nephew and it was his birthday that day which left me buying the game again. The overall experience and lack of customer service in store has left me unwilling to return to any TJ Hughes store again. The team were unhelpful in store and the store in general could do with a clean. After emailing custmoer services about a late refund I got a patronising reply! Which stated they refunded and the dates and not any form of apology. I understand that mistakes can happen as myself I am a retail mananger. The way overall my complaint was dealt with was poor. I will be using the experience as a way of training staff on how not to respond to customer complaints.”

Customer service is extremely important to us and all of our staff are trained to deliver the standard of service that we expect. What you have described does not meet with these standards and I am sorry to learn that one of our team members appears to have disregarded this training when carrying out his duties. “My recent purchase from T J Hughes was very easy to purchase on line and was quickly delivered to store for collection I would definitely use this option for purchasing items again the staff were very friendly and helpful when I went to store to collect my items.”
