“Tokyo treats definitely fixed the issues with the shipping. The pandemic definitely threw a wrench into the process but thats has been taken care of now. Customer service always made sure they kept me updated. Thanks. I only wish they would put more premium item in the box.”
“The box was filled with amazing and delicious treats, my only concern is one of the boxes took 3 months to get here and they double charged us for no reason. Other than that I loved it.”
“A good variety of snacks. Sometimes I feel like they’re very small for what I pay for them. I enjoy the variety of different drinks! Although as a good laugh with the family trying different foods and flavours it’s very good. Recently with all the covid situation a lot of my boxes were delayed which meant I got my August box about a week or so after the shipping notification and still hadn’t received my May or June or July box.”
“This box is technically my second box since the first one shipped but hasn’t arrived yet. I liked 10 out of 17 items. I would have liked to have had ingredients (or at least allergens) listed in the pamphlet. Google translate can only do so much on the packages.”
“The snacks are great, but it’s as if the website is made to trick you into paying more than you intend to. I thought I was just buying one box and, to my surprise, a month later they billed me for another one, with no refund option. Seems like this has happened to a lot of people too.”
“I've always been a fan of anime, kawaii merch and their food! Tokyo Treat embodies all of that on its best of days.
Other times, it just frustrates me because of how much you actually pay for it. Customer service is helpful but at the end- you're on your own as there's usually nothing that can be done about status of delivery UNLESS ya paid for the option!”
“Delivery seems to take an age, but once you have a subscription up and running they come once a month, and you don't really notice the delay.
Box contents are quite varied. The drinks are usually really good, but the rest can be a bit hit and miss. The sweet things are generally good, but some of the savoury stuff often has a fishy theme and can be a bit odd.
But it's nice to try some different things.
On the whole though, I think the boxes are okay and I'm satisfied with the price, especially as it gets cheaper once you've purchased a few.”
“What needs to be understood is that the shipping takes a long time but thats to de expected. The products are cool but most seem like the rejects and for what you get its a bit pricey. I do enjoy at least 3 of the items I get in the box each time but if you live in a hot climate, then your stuffs gonna melt abit. The rewards could be beefed up abit too.”
“As a prepaid customer for a 3 month plan it was nice to know that my orders were being prioritized and would typically arrive on the 1st of the month. That being said I have still not received my August box, most likely due to my postal service or it being stolen off of my porch. On top of that, from my knowledge, you can only file inquiries 60 days after the supposed delivery date. I was excited to try this kind of thing, but now I'm left fairly disappointed.”
